I just installed mine, man I've been waiting to get a pair of these because I hate how any rain or water comes in the window when its cracked slighty and drips down on the driver's controls. If anyone is interested in them the Ford part number is YW3Z18246AA and ran me $83 with tax. I had ordered them at my old Ford dealership that I worked out and just to see a price difference between them and another Ford dealership I called this morning and they said they didn't make them anymore....so I asked well about for a CV or GM and the guy said oh thats a totally different part number and hung up on me. :censor:

I bought the L/M version, with the waterfall logo from my L/M dealer, 65 bucks, but they are the stick on type.

I like them for the same reasons, keeping rain off the switch panel, but I also notice that they change air flow dynamics with the window half open, blows outside air right into my face. Oh well, no mod is perfect...

I have the WeatherTechs also. Didn't like covering up the chrome window trim.

I just put the Weathertech smoked deflectors on. They are made in Germany and seem to be a typical high quality German product. No glue-just slip them in place, run the window up and down 5 times, and leave it shut for a while. Also should be very easy to remove if necessary.

I got the ones that mount onto the chrome trim on the outside. I dont like in-channel ones. I have them on my F-350 and they have been nothing but problems and the rear door ones have been replaced 3 times because the glue will not hold to the felt in the channel. I have maybe put the windows down twice since I bought the track back in 10/05. Though I will say in-channel does look better but putting these on will just make me do another cosmetic mod to counter the vent shades. I plan on doing an upper and lower grille mod this weekend and if I have another time I might make a proguard out of diamond plate alum :D

That $30 was only for the front correct? I know I paid more than twice that for all four windows.

The glue on the WeatherTech ones I have is on the outside lip so it attaches to the inside of the windows channel not the felt. Where did you get your aluminium diamond plate? I thought of doing the same thing (I traced the ProGuard outline to a piece of cardboard) but found the diamond plate a bit expensive.

I have the smoked/tinted German ones that clip into the channel. They work quite well but it directs road noise right into the cabin as you drive.

I thought of doing the same thing (I traced the ProGuard outline to a piece of cardboard) but found the diamond plate a bit expensive. http://www.diamondlifegear.com/diamondpiece.htm They will cut you a 0.045" thickness piece up to 4'x8' for $95.68 plus shipping. It's more clostly than the proguard but the little extra look it gives is worth it to me and as long as it makes me happy afterwards then it was well worth it. I figured with a piece that big it should fit if not ill cut some and add some here and there. I've also thought about making diamond plate floor mats for the MM like I had in my focus. I've been itching to play with my new plasma cutter and mig welder. Also check out this http://cgi.ebay.com/Diamond-plate-aluminum-24-x-48-045-sheet-metal_W0QQitemZ7614831438QQcat egoryZ31489QQssPageNameZWDVWQQ rdZ1QQcmdZViewItem which they state that they can cut to any size so this might be better but I don't have the dimensons of a proguard.

Ive had the weathertech ones for well over a year and have had NO complaints at all. No glue, stickers or whatnot. They slide in and out easily and do what theyre supposed to do. Ive seen way too many stick ons peeling off, off, or hanging for dear life that Id NEVER get those. Plus, no stickers would ever be on MY car......

WeatherTechs since July 04, no problems from 100 degrees down to minus 27 degrees.

I have a four piece set of Ventshade wind deflectors that were on my CV for a year before I traded for the MM. Excellent condition and new 3M tape all around. I am willing to sell for $30+shipping. PM me.

One thing I noticed is that dirt/grit will collect at the top of the window where it clips behind the weatherflector and scratches up both the weatherflector and the window. However, the window scratches are not visible unless you roll them down.

Pros:
You can crack open your windows and not worry about rain or snow falling into the car.
You can crack open the windows while driving at low speed w/ reduced wind noise.

Cons:
Not really useful at speed since the curvature directs road noise right into the cabin.
Doesn't work well in the summer w/o wind. Solar radiation heats the car faster than air can cool it down.
Dirt/grit can collect, causing window and visor scratching.
