Well here it is guys. I just got off the phone with LJ from the Impalla forums and we have set a date on which we will be meeting the Impallas and other four thousand pound four door sedans at.

Where: Milan Dragway

When: June 8th 6:00pm-9:00pm

Cost: $50.00 Race as much as you want
$5.00 for spectators

All Four Sedans are invited as long as they are Four Thousand Pounds. This will include the Marauders, Impallas, Chrysler LX platform (300, Charger, Magnum), as well as the Cadillac cars.

This will be the first meeting of the Northern Four Thousand Pound Four Doors. There is another date in the works for later in the year. We hope that with these two events that we can turn this into a Northern HeavyWeight Shootout for next year. We are hoping for a big turnout for this event so we can grow on this next year.

All members of this site are welcome to attend. Please feel free to send me a PM for any further details.

This would be a good chance for you two to meet for the "Race of the Year". If you come I will supply you with all the Diet Mountain Dew you can drink. Dave said he will pay for one night of your stay. Jerry's waiting..........:D

Right now I believe I am the reigning champion. Accordingly to my rule book, I get choice of locale. I will be in Montgomery, AL next week, Bristol, TN the first weekend of August, and Commerce, GA the first weekend in November. Tell him to meet me at one of those places unless he is skeered.

I'm sure he will chime in here. Wish you could make it here for this anyway. Would love to have you and Legal Knivel here.

In a couple of days I will let you know what will be restricting my travel schedule for the next few months. It's big news -- for me anyway.

Maybe I'll go, but my car is stock. The event still sounds like fun though.

In a nutshell....

I was rained on on the way out there. That sucked.

Car ran strong, but it was warm and humid. Best of the night was 11.61@119 with a 60ft of 1.71. Not bad. The other two runs were 11.85 and 11.77. Traction was good but not great.

Colder temps and better traction last Novemeber is still the difference from my best times. That and my bottle is low now and I don't have a heater. I'll be going to Lidio for a rear ride height adjustment, bottle warmer, and, now that I know the motor is holding up great, perhaps the next nos jet bigger.

Jerry ran a new best! But....I'll leave him to tell ;)

Daryl ran consistent all night. (Daryl, remember....the pulley )

John Stevens NOS'd it to an awesome 13.0 flat!! I'll let him fill in the details.

I'm not sure who the fastest Impala was. I think some guy ran an 11.67. If there was anyone better than my best run, Jerry iced it for sure.

It was a great night!!

It was indeed a great time hanging with the Impala guys. They are a great bunch.

Good runs Mike. You are my "HERO". As Mike said my car ran very consistant all night.

1st run: 13.18 at 105.63mph
2nd run: 13.32 at 105.61mph
3rd run: 13.22 at 106.32mph
4th run: 13.22 at 106.39mph

My best reaction time was .2628 and my best 60ft was 1.9569. Car is running good. It would make a good bracket race car.

Congrats to John Stevens for his 13.0 run on NOS with street tires.
Congrats to the Trilogy #1 car for having a new best time.

There were some nice Impalas out there also. I saw a few that were in the 11's and quite a few in the 12 to 13 second range. I have always had respect for these cars and that will not change.

I do wish that we could have had more MM's showup. We will be having another day in August and another in October with the Impala guys. Once again "Thank you" to the "MISSL" Impala guys.

I'm glad, Jerry is headed in the right direction, when he ran down here it was a work in progress and he wasn't where he wanted to be....11 flat in unfavorable weather means the car will do 10's....cool!!!!

Yes, it was a great time. Enjoyed seeing everyone again.
I'll start with the best time of the night for me which suprised me.

Time Trap Reaction 60'
13.06 105.86 +.353 1.96
13.21 106.57 +.391 2.14
13.34 105.88 +.434 2.18

And my first run where I spun off the line. Need to learn to roll into it more.
14.04 105.42 +.573 2.53

Daryl, thanks for putting this together and a big thanks to the impala crew.
Now, where's Jerry.

10s are definitely on the way....and soon. Jerry only made two "shake down" passes the night. The first run was aborted due to some shift point settings in the PCM, and run #2 was the last before the track closed. Its a shame because I think Jerry had 10s in her if he had time for another pass. What's more important is that he hasn't really even turned the wick all the way up yet. I smell some serious competition for Marty.
