Differ from a Cobra's setup? NO I am not inquiring that I want to do a swap - read on - I was at a Cobra meet last night and they said "So it's pretty much a Cobra setup" I replied yes, it pretty much is, but if I had to say something was different what would it be? Do they have the intercooler core below the blower like us, a seperate radiator and an electric pump? what?

Jason in a short simple answer the blower snout in Trilogy is unique to our cars. The Cobra is too short and the Lightning is too long. Other than that they have everthing like we do. That's why a complete Cobra motor is neede to do a swap. Oh they have forged internals we don't.

They also would need to have a Panther frame and body for their supercharged cars to be as cool as ours. :)

The cobra set up is very very similar to the Trilogy. Same Eaton compressor, same intercooler, similar heat exchanger and pump. Overall, very similar power output all up and down the rpm range.

Well folks,

There are a lot of differences. Let me list a few:
1. We use the same intake manifold as the Cobra, but we do additional machining to fit our package.
2. We use the same intercooler core
3. The EATON supercharger is different then the Cobra or Lightning, even though the internals are the same(EATON M112)
4. Heat exchanger is the same but all the mounting brackets are custom
5. Inlet Duct pieces are unique.
6. Intercooler pump is the same
7. All of the vacumm and related lines are all custom
8. The complete front accessory drive system is custom(from a 1 belt to a 2 belt drive system) with custom brackets
9. Calibration is unique
10. Outlet plate is unique

And the list goes on. But, the bottom line is that this kit is design specifically for a Marauder.

We had a gentleman call the other day and asked if our kit would fit a 4.6L 4V Aviator and after pulling the digital data we concluded that it was too much of a change to warrant the engineering work that was necessary to make it work properly.

If you have a machine shop and want to spend a lot of time fabricating pieces, anything is possible, but is it worth the effort?

Sincerely,

Jerry

We'll there goes my idea of replacing my MM with an Aviator. I guess I'll have to go with the an F150/Tilogy!
