Just in case anyone needs it, I have a freshly repaired MM radio head available. Rebuilt by Alpine.

My subwoofer is uh....who knows where it is by now, I have a 12w7 in it's space. I had no sound from anything.

I'll give it a day or two, I don't mind listening to my S/C and mufflers :)

Is the radio for a 300A or 300B? They are different both front and rear.

Did you check the fuses?

I did not, but I would assume if the fuse was blown the radio would not have any power - and it does.

Ok, not sure if this will help, but on my car the wiring harness to the speakers/sub are visible on the right side of the tranny tunnel. I had a problem with just the sub being off. I moved these wires and discovered they were not fully connected. Problem solved.

Sometimes when stereos get cranked too often, the speaker output leads get fryed or partially fried, try to keep the volume low then reset the radio, simply by pulling the fuse, and see what happens. If the radio works then when you raise the volume has no sound, you know that it is the radio. In my opinion the ford factory radios are pretty crappy, there are many replacements out there, the only downside is getting a steering wheel control module and a cd changer to match.
