Anyone else have trouble with the filter staying on the MAF adapter? Any ideas how to make it happen?

Yes Paul, I ended up getting the metal adapter from Jay @JLT.

What was it? I have the same setup and am not having an issue.

I had the same problem to. Use sand paper on the inside of the filter and scuff it up really good. then use some alcohol and wipe it off. on the inside of the filter where it would make contact with the adapter. that will take the slippery stuff off and will be ruff too. also you dont need to tighten the holy hell out of it. just snug! hope this works for ya. it worked for me.

Highly polished MAF adapter and slippery oil film on filter were the root cause of the trouble. Cleaned the crap out of the filter and it seems okay now.

I just used soap and water to clean the oily film and havent had a problem since.

By the way Jay, Do you have a sock for your filter?

Sandpaper the inside of the filter, sandpaper outside of the MAF, clean all with alcohol and just snug-down the clamp.
