Help with engine dress up.

Can some people show me pics of a dressed up engine bay. Preferably non SC'd.

Any tips for detailing the engine compartment are appreciated.

Will take pics of mine sometime next week after I give it the "treatment".

I start with a citrus-based engine cleaner (follow the directions on the can)
Below dry with compressed air
Wipe everything down
Finish with a spray of xxxxxxxx I'll list what I use in the AM (too lazy to go to the garage).

Follow Rider90's instructions: Simple Green or similar degreaser, use a detailing brush, (he uses a toilet brush, so it doesn't really matter :rolleyes:). He sprays down the whole engine/bay, then hoses it off. I didn't really have access to a hose, so I sprayed then scrubbed then wiped with a rag. Came out just as well. When all is clean, just spray armor all on all things rubber and plastic, then rub with another clean rag. Comes out awesome. Do a search to find his original thread, and look at his pics. I got mine to look that clean, but it took a very long time. I also removed all the crappy electrical tape they put on everything (to hold lines and things together and so forth) and replaced it with zip ties. Came out very nice, but I need to do it again. It's been raining all week!

This one is done only with a damp cloth and wiped down every week....no washing or spraying down...have kept it wiped every week since I bought her brand new.....oops forgot the picture

If it's painted, wax it, if it's rubber/vinyl, plastic, protectant it. I also vacuum the a/c condenser and radiator.
