Its a whisle that some people put into the exhaust as a prank. Makes you think something is wrong with your car when you start it up. That one is put in backwards and the tab spread apart to make it fit. Not sure it works backwards. :)

I am no expert, but a question comes to mind,..

Has it always been there?

The shiny appearance leads me to believe it is new whatever it may be.

Have you started the car with it in?

Whistles like hell in reverse at speeds over 100 mph. I have never heard mine but the next time to the track I am going to run backwards and give a report. Dennis:beer: w/ pictures of course:bs:

No sir. I just noticed it this morning when I went out to my garage.
Judging from the responses...and if people are actually serious...it appears to be a whistler of some sort someone shoved in the pipe as a joke.

Yea I would say someone put it there cause of how clean it is. If it was in your exhaust a while it would have black exhaust crap all over it. Plus your MM is dirty but that is still squeaky clean. Hell just for *****s and Giggles I'd throw it back in and see what kinda sound it makes in case the joker does it again you will know the sound.

I was under the impression that the whistle tip had to be installed and wasn't some sort of drop-in piece...but found this doing a Google search:

and
http://funideas.com/trickexhaustwhistle.html

Bingo! Good to know that it wasn't something that came loose in my muffler and worked its way down my pipe. Whew!

That's a piece of the last Hyundai your Marauder ate. Some parts are not completely digestible. Remove it and your car will love you. Kinda like taking the thorn out of the lion's paw.

Everyone go watch the video, I highly recommend it. At the end that guy is swivring down the WRONG lane, and runs a stop sign , all right in front of the camera... i couldnt stop laughing.

Yea, I noticed this too and that has to be the funniest part about it. Oh, and right before this happens, the reporter says that "Bub-Rub" and "Lil-Sis" were "happy to show it off for us...", well while they were swirving, making illegal lane changes, and running stop signs, did you hear the woo woo? LOL, I didn't.

OK Correct me if Im wrong, at 1 minute 14 seconds in the clip, Does the reporter say " Like the Squeal of a FART Train that doesn't stop???"

That would be ... BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) or something like that...I like your interpretation better though!

In New York City, it's called the SUBWAY or Train.

The upper class call it Mass Transit...

Just found out about 4 guys in my department decided to buy that whistle tip at a joke shop and shove it up my pipe. The joke's on them because they put it in backwards and it didn't work! One of the guys told me they all stuck around after work on Friday and waited for me to leave so they could hear it. (They know how I drive my car so they figured they'd get a real show!)

Didn't work because one of the numbnuts put it in backwards. LOL!

Apparently, they debated on which of them would actually put it in my pipe. No one wanted to F with my car!

Now...where'd I put my citation book? Need to write somebody for tampering with an official police vehicle...

It is a whistle someone put in as a joke, usually on single exhaust cars though. I have one at work in the original package. I'll try to remember to bring it home and take a picture.

Did you do something bad to somebody. Or maybe they're trying to tell you your car is to quiet. More Varoooom please.
