I have seen them go. It is an easy repair. If you think it might turn into a FFF, then disconnect it under the hood. There is an accessible harness that you can disconnect.

As a fellow owner of two Marauders, "double your pleasure, double your fun" also doubles your failures and disappointments.

Both of my harnesses at the back of the fan motor are broken. They slide on and off the bracket, but do not stay in place without a wire tie. I considered the first to be a side effect of Kenny Brown's under hood tinkering, but my "#3"? Hell, no one has been under that hood for 75K miles...

Maybe it's a production line flaw, where no one can get it right?

check the blower speed controller. it is a small black box mounted on the firewall in the engine bay. more towards the pass side tap on it with a long screwdriver while you have the blower turned on. the blower should come on. very common problem. i gurarntee its that and not the motor. the ford basic part # for it is 19e624.
