So far I've trusted my family & a friend who drove a 50's something ford truck (no pwr steering & a manual) & bigger trucks in Wisconsin for beet farming in the summer. I didn't mind him driving since he had enough experience for me.
My dad used to be a cop so of course he was going to drive it. He got it up to 120 before I did and that threw me a curveball. I was in the passenger seat going 'WTF are you doing!?'

Of course. It prompted my buddy at work to go buy one. I'd have to say that Todd is the king of this category though.

If I know the person and they are ablebodied, I will let them drive my car. Most of the people who are not MM owners do not believe I want them to go WOT. Most of them get to about 5 lbs of boost and let off. The MM folks put the pedal through the floor and let out this animal like scream!:D

I have let the following people drive it since I have owned it (and I am the second owner):

1) My wife - no problems yet
2) The Dyno Guy a couple weeks ago to pull it on and off the dyno
3) A buddy of mine

Now, the last one is the interesting one. He has a 300C that he let me drive so I wanted to return the favor. Well, we were at a car dealership waiting for another buddy and I was going to let him drive. While we are waiting for the other buddy we are cruising the lot looking at cars, he is driving. The rows of cars are long and kind of narrow. He gets to the end of a row and goes to do a turn and come back down the next row. Well, he was going slow and getting close to a car on the end of the row with the passenger front corner of the bumper. I thought he would stop, back up, and complete the turn but instead hit the back bumper. Took some paint off of the other car, scratched my bumper a little, and spidered the paint on the corner of the bumper. I was able to buff out the scrapes, but you can still see the little bit of spidering in the right light.

Since that time, I will let the wife drive it and that is it. Once I get a new daily driver and supercharge the Marauder, I will probably be even less inclined to offer to let people drive it.

But I definitely want to thank those kind soles on this site that have offered to let me test drive their supercharged Marauder's in an attempt to figure out which kit I want to go with. I would do the same for a fellow Marauder owner trying to make a decision.

What was the question again.... (Sorry to ramble on).

My wife and a couple buddies have driven mine. My dad's eyes are too bad to drive it and my sister has a problem with not checking mirrors.

I allowed one of my friends (he's also and employee) to drive mine in a wedding that I was a part of the party in.
That's it that I know of... besides the tech at the dealer.
Oh wait... My brother drove it! Not the one with the GTO, the other one..

The S.O.B. will take it out occasionally. The wife hasn't driven the Marauder since she got her new '06 Freestyle LTD. Other than that ... no one else but me. :D

My wife.

Lent it to DRobin for a week.

Shijack drove it.

Lent it to a coworker for 4 days when he was fired to cheer him up, he was afraid to floor it.

A good friend swapped a drive in his 1963 Impala SS 409 4 Speed Dual 4 Barrels.

About a week after buying mine, I was in desperate need of some computer parts to be picked up from my supplier in Chicago, and brought back to a Milwaukee 'burb where I live (about 100 miles one way). My brother was laid off at the time, but the only way I could get him to deal with that traffic was to let him take my car. He picked up a buddy/co-worker, and made the run down and back without incident (about 4 hours total). Though they reported back like they felt they were in some weird cross between Men In Black and and the Blues Brothers, "A tank of gas, a full pack of cigarettes...." Especially with all the head turning they noticed.

It kinda bummed me out at the time, my brother had more miles on the car than I did! Other than that, I let my daughter take her road test in it (her car was my old '92 Grand Marquis, so not a huge handling difference), of course my wife, and a drinking buddy of mine one time when he was drinking less than I was.

My car has been passed around faster than Madonna in an NBA locker room.

I let anyone drive it anytime they want. However, I do have one requirement..."Put it straight to the floor from a dead stop. And, if you're a man, you'll keep it there. :burnout: :burnout:

I don't mind people I know driving ours.

I'd swap drives with just about anybody... the 409 mentioned above sounds fun! I think swapping drives is a great way to spread auto enthusiasm, and a great way for me to appreciate more cars.

I'm not crazy about people I don't know taking it far out of my sight, but anybody that has an appreciation for cars is welcome to sample it.

I might take you up on that one............

As for mine:

1) The techs who have worked on it
2) Ghost03 (was at work with me and needed cigarettes)
3) My mother took it to her workplace (I took her new Focus in for a check engine light)

Funny thing on that. At the Kentucky Meet, my wife and I arrived. Lots of folks were already standing about conversing. We joined in, and had introductions. Mac threw me the keys to his KB, and said have at it! Well, I didn't, but it set the tone.

A day later, BigDogJim, Alarmguy and I all played musical cars. Kinda fun.

I have let my best friend drive it. He drives like an old lady, so, I wasn't too concerned.

Also let the guy at the Dyno drive it up onto the rig.

Then the multiple techs at L/M.

That's about it, not even the wife!:D

Wife drives it more than I do (I'm a work at home consultant, so no commute). She says the road feel reminds her of her old MGB days.

Daughter likes to use it when she visits from the left coast. I remind her "With great power comes great responsibility."

Car has a Reinhart tune, plugs, 180 thermostat - everything else stock.

The list is shorter than I would like....I have owed Brian(Poylpita) a ride forever. Tranny puke-up cost him the second chance and Stephen J.'s tour of the everglades cost him the first. Brian I have not forgotten you. It will happen. I promise! anyone here is welcome, here are the keys. And it is LONGER that I would have prefered...My wife, My mother:eek: who is whacked out of her mind, laying rubber in front of the public safety bldg..in Ist and 2nd. My service tech, 3 times and my service writer, once. Carfixer, Lidio, Stephen J. of course, The original Owner, Big Al G. who babied it for 16,400 miles. AND THE LITTLE UNLICENSED ILLEGAL ALIEN GAL AT THE CAR WASH WHO DROVE IT 20 FEET UNDER BOOST DIRECTLY UP THE INNOCENT LITTLE PT CRUISER'S DUMPER. Dennis:beer:

LOL The car wash folks don't get much of a charge out of pulling it off the line any more since I went from mufflerless to Magnaflows. Otherwise my wife drives it some, chauffers me around in it on the weekends. A couple of trusted friends have driven it with us in the car, but that's it. I WANT my dad to drive it, but he refuses. He's afraid he'll want one!

My two favorites are my Dad, a former stock car driver, who said "If I had that in the early 50's you wouldn't be here," and my son, who's look was priceless when I told him, "you know that gas pedal will reach the floor."

Yeap, drive and race. Carfixer got me my best timeslip at Gainesville while I was busy destroying my tires on my S/C maiden voyage.

However I don't know anyone as generous to a member of our club as Todd of Atlanta, he is in a class by himself...honorable mention goes to Donny Carlson "Da Man" who let my wife drive his brand new SSR..she was really thrilled.

There have been a rare "other driver".
1. My wife, believe it or not doesn't like to.
2. Dad. Hasn't tried the Trilogy yet, but needs to.
3. Sister. Same as #2
4. Bro-in-law that was there for the install. Anytime he wants to.
5. Other bro-in-law once pre-Trilogy. And will never get the chance to.
6. Buddy who falls into #4 as well.
That's it. Time will tell how many more.

Once I was out, it was me and my friend in my car and my gf and her friend in her car. They both got trashed, and I thought it would be disrespectful for me to just have him drive her car so I let him drive the Marauder, he got out and look at me and said, "Dude this thing has 2 speeds, idle and HOLY S**T." Although in retrospect that kid was a tool and I regret actually being friends with him in the first place, but I still like the comment he made about my Marauder.

My father, who has put more miles on the car than I have (we bought it before I got my drivers license and half the time I spend at my moms so he likes to drive it.) Also my papaw and my neighbor who is a good friend and school bus driver. Other than that no one that I know of.

The Day I brought it home I threw my Father the keys, He took it for a ride and being he is the farthest thing from a car enthusiast, he said it has a nice ride and seems "peppy"
The next day when I went to work I let my Uncle take it around the block and he was more appreciative of the car and was impressed by the way it gets motovated.
Other then that, its been the guy in the car wash when he pulls my car either in or out.

A couple of members here have driven my Marauder, but the most memorable is probably when a sales exec I work with drove it pre- and post-supercharger, and both times drove it like he stole it. It's almost as fun as a passenger in a driven Marauder as it is driving one... almost. :D

1.) car wash w/o incident.
2.) mom. I realized how my passengers feel now! My chicken nuggets went from my lap to the back seat!

4.) The 2 original owners in 2 difrent states. I kinda didn't have any control ovr that.
