Cleaning the Exhaust Tips

I did a search on this one and came up empty. What a good product I can buy at an auto-parts store that will take the tar and assorted goop off the polished tips and make them look good again? Chrome cleaner?

Try Cook Top cleaning creme for smooth top ranges it works better than anything inc. Mothers and Neverdull. I'll post pics tommorow. At a local car show.

I used 'GooGone'

but that mothers chrome cleaner sounds 1,000% better
