I don't believe a manual transmission has been offered as on option in any Panther Platform car built after 1992--if I'm wrong--somebody please correct me:help: Maury

No, not for this generation of Marauder...'03-'04.

One aftermarket conversion to manual that I know of has been completed by Paul's High Performance in Jackson, MI. However, this is expensive, and Paul isn't interested in any new business. IMHO, if you could find someone to do it, budget for 8-10K in experimental costs, hence, not worth it.

agreed, the weight alone seems to be the biggest issue. I found a trans that might handle the weight, the rear end to do it and that's as far as I got. The computer and such were an interesting hurdle, you can kinda use the harness from a mach 1 or cobra... maybe. As it stood, I thought it would be cool as hell, but might aswell buy a new car

That's hot to trot, I am amazed honestly that it's running ok on a GT tranny, all signs I saw pointed to too much weight for a mustang trans... then again I prob have 3x his hp... :(

It is a manual tranny, but if it is from the Cobra, the part # is not correct.

The only parts database that I use is at the dealer that I work at.

Don't forget the cobra vics. They had a 4.6 4v motor with a 5 speed and they got put through the paces.
