Anyone else BOG out with a JLT intake and Tune?? Happens from dead stop take-off.

Any remedies??

I tried adjusting the richness from 0 to 10% and it doesn't feel any better.

I get a bog in 1st gear but not right from takeoff - more in the higher RPMS before shifting. Still messing with shift points.

I have had my car dyno tuned and I still have a slight Bog off the line. Its a Engine with no low end torque in a big car. I have gotten used to it.

It almost feels like this should be able to be 'tuned' out. I'm sure 4:10's would do it, but want to keep the 3:55's.

Can we advance the timing easily???

I have 4.10s and it helped the bog but didnt completely take it out. If you play with the timing then you would have to play with the A/F mixture. You are better off sending it to a SCT tuner with a dyno to make sure you dont have any issues.

I have a hybrid PHP/JLT, bogs at 3500rpm. Probably can be tuned out.

I have just the opposite on my #3 MM...

If I play the throttle wrong from a dead stop, the car leaps out, jumps ahead rather that accelerate at a normal pace. I too, have learned to live with this, but once in a while I forget, mostly due to driving two completely different Marauders back to back.

I think this setting in the software is the "throttle tip in", but I don't know tuning all that well. Maybe Zack will chime in?

There is a function in the tuning called idle_spark_gain.
The factory value is .84. Set it to 1.0-1.5 and it will be much more peppy off the line.

All I've got is the Dennis tune and a JLT...that's it...and mine runs like a scolded dog as soon as I press the gas and keeps going. You got any other mods that may affect things?

I had a "WOT" bog with every SCT tune I tried and believe me I have tried dozens!!:argue: By not going "WOT" and only about 90% throttle it ran much stronger???

The BLOWER took care of it COMPLETELY!!:bows:

The "Bog" did exist while bonestock. After buying a tune from Dennis for N/A Marauder bog dissappeared, later I added a K/N drop-in filter and I would burn rubber from dead stop.

What I'm trying to say is bog is not inevitable...it is a tuning issue.:)

I haven't noticed but I have no bog issues. Course I'm running a hybrid JLT CAI(JLT tube and factory airbox) and MarauderJack's tune from SCT.

If I shift manually, it doesn't happen. Otherwise, slightly on 1st and if I let up on the gas at the right time in 2nd, it bogs down also.
