Well, my normal road I take on my commute to work is not very smooth - to say the least. Here lately my dash has been rattling quite a bit - especially right in the middle area around the radio (factory radio). Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any insight on where the various screws, etc would be to attach the dash area? Just want to get in there and tighten things up to help it stop making noise. It is getting really annoying.

Hey, ya that rattle is a pain and annoys the hell out of me. I found mine between the center console and the meter pod, if you put a small piece of rubber or carpet to stick between there it will stop.

Our dot-matrix trim pops off.

Start from the driver side with the door open and reach for the outermost edge of the trim, the side that would be covered if the door was closed. Pull towards you and it pops off. Be sure to disconnect any/all switches on the trim (T/C, pedals)

Passenger side:

Door open, do the same thing, it's just a longer piece of plastic. Handle this one gently when you get to the Heater & A/C controls as it is better attached around those areas. disconnect the defroster button.

This process will expose the bolts at the bottom of the big flat black inner-gut bezel thing-a-ma-bobber. From there you can take apart or tighten just about anything. Good luck!

Thanks. Once again you have come through with good information. By the way, followed your steps on the engine detailing and she looks almost as good was when I picked her up last fall - which is to say looks like it just rolled off the showroom.

There ia a TSB on the center dash vents for rattling. My right center vent rattles every now and then.

Hope this helps.

Your welcome, see, I know a thing or two. But not three things. That would be beyond my ability.
