A thought came into my head today. When I worked at a Lincoln/Mercury dealer I noticed if they do engine work to a navagator they simply lift the body off the frame for easy engine clearence. I was thinking, would it be possible to put a Gran Mar body on a Marauder frame? So the car would be a GM on a Marauder suspension, engine... exc. Sense their the same overall body I don't see why this wouldn't simply drop on or happen with a few changes. Just buy a GM with a blown engine for real cheap and a Marauder thats been in an accident with just body damage. Any takers?

I can't see why not, a Grand Marquis body is pretty much the same to a Marauder body. Although I'm not sure why you'd want to put a Grand Marquis body on, I think a Black LX Sport body would look nicer, or a Lincoln Town Car, although I'm really not to sure how different the Town Car is from its other Panther siblings.

I've seen many a "dune buggies" come dowm final line when I was at Wixom because a CV/GM frame got mixed in w/TC frames.

Cool, I didn't know that. Are the engine/tranny mounts and rear suspension pretty much the same? Also, what did they do with those cars that they were unable to put bodies on? Did they just send them up to St. Thomas?

Anything is possible given enough money and time.

NAd yes FBM with time & money anything is possible. Question is, when all is said and done, was it really worth it? Only the person doing the fabbing can justify it.

To me yes it's worth it, but this is many years away. Just another thing to put on my to do list. When you see a P.O.S. GM beat a Vette people won't stop laughing for weeks. Also no one would think anything of it so it's a good way to take peoples money I mean win a race or two.
