View Full Version : How many miles?
Since I am collecting data on S/C'd Marauder engines I figured I would also collect some data on S/C'd engines that are going strong.
So.... who made your power adder? How many miles do you have on it since you installed it? If you have a lot of miles on it do you attribute it to anything in particular?
Thanks, in advance, for your feedback.
Best,
Dan

Trilogy installed at about 13000, car now has over 24000. Haven't touched a thing. In October it'll be two years, and I'll change the plugs, coolant etc.
I expect this set-up to have a long life, and I'll tell you why. I still have the stock 9.5 PSI pulley, and a stock Trilogy tune. I do not know of anyone who has lost an engine while running this set-up. My car has never been on a dyno, ever, not even for a few pulls to see what the numbers are. On the hottest of days, she's a very low 13 second car. On a cooler night, she's high 12s. Plenty fast for me.
I do enjoy watching my friends run low 12s/high 11s, and maybe someday I'll mod this car a bit further to get there. Though my car is a toy that sits in the garage, it could pressed into daily-driver duty tomorrow-you just never know. That's why I still have stock exhaust, trans, and gears. I must be getting old, because I like the fact that it's still quiet, and drives like a Grand Marquis when I want it to.

Trilogy installed when the car had 1200 miles. Ran it to 14,000 miles while progressively increasing the power up to 480rwhp. Tore the motor down (in a preventative fashion) to up the power more over the winter. Motor still looked fresh.
Its all in the tune.

My Trilogy Kit just reached a one year anniversary and 10,000 miles on May 27th. I have the Base pulley and tuning, it was installed by the best in my opinion: Carfixer and Tallboy.
It has not only met my expectations it has clearly exceeded them. Once Tallboy showed me what could be done with street tires and I practiced at every red light, my personal best was achieved on a 86-87 degree Florida afternoon.
I feel that it is reasonable to believe that I have not seen yet the best the car can offer. It has perfect manners when driven gently.

Purchased a Trilogy kit on 2-7-05, installed on 2-23-05. Car had 11706 miles on it at install. It now has 20600. No major problems. Runs well.

Trilogy 69 installed in Mar. of 05 at 17,000 mi. Now have 43,6xx and still runs strong. I did switch to the 10.5 pulley and had Lidio play with it while I was there, but as far as concerns or problems I have none.

Trilogy #0098 here. Kit installed at 11,300 just turned 18,000 miles. The car runs great, starts at -15F or +101F. It will melt the tires off (sorry for the crappy screen shot)

It has spent 5% of its supercharged miles on the track:bows: and has never missed a beat. We won't mention the driver error that turned it into a 4400 lb lawnmower:nono:

I'm still rather fresh, installed Trilogy #112 at about 26,500 miles I'm just about at 30,000 miles. So far no problem, here's to keeping it that way!
Still at base tune and pulley, and likely to stay that way for awhile, I'm very happy with this setup, still having fun at the track getting used to the newfound power. :)
