Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the new ScanGuage II?
Any comments about the ease of operation while driving, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Bill

Did not know about it until you mentioned it. It looks neat, I like the color option. I may need more to justify a purchase though.

Did not know there was a Scangauge ll. Have to look it over to see if it's as good as original.

I've been looking at this one and a couple of others, this is #1 at this point.

http://www.myscantool.com/ That's quite a different tool than the Scanguage I & II. The Scanguage is just a digital dashboard for live 411 collected in the OBD-II computer. It's quite handy, but doesn't download data anywhere at the present time. It holds peak numbers in memory for one "trip", i.e. until you start the car again. I go nowhere without mine, it's mounted to the windshield with a generic radar detector bracket and some velcro. Read more here?

SergntMac - How accurate is it regarding MPG?

SergntMac - How accurate is it regarding MPG? It's not accurate at all on any fuel system data, Steve, least not the ScanGuage I. The new ScanGuage II may have some improvements, but I doubt it. It's the nature of our "returnless" fuel system not reporting this data to the EEC.

You can monitor the fuel trim (both banks, short and long term) and, if you know the math (and I do not), you can calculate your AFR from this data.

The biggest difference i see from reading the add is the smaller form factor and the ability to change location of where it connects to the box. Probably makes it easier to find a mounting location than than the orig. I made side connect alteration about a week after i got my ScanGuage 1. The different colors for the backlit is nice, but IMO is not necessary. Didn't see where they added anything else.

I'm very happy with mine.
