View Full Version : Fuel Pressure High

I was sitting in 102 degree F traffic yesterday and noticed my fuel pressure gauge heading into the 40's. Normally that doesn't happen until the boost-a-pump kicks in.
I've got a SPA technique dual guage for vacum and fuel.
I'm wondering if this reading is actual or a fault of the fuel pressure gauge.
Anyone else see this with analog gauges??

The higher the under hood temp the higher the FP.
If the FP is not raised the F will boil.

Thanks! Was wondering if this was unique to the returnless fuel system.

Higher fuel pressure keeps the fuel from vaporizing (boiling) and the EEC adjust the pulse width of the injectors to compensate!! I sound like I know what I'm talking about but it's actually what I've learned since the blower install!!:bows:
My FP at idle is 40-45 PSI when stationary and engine temp is above 190*....So don't worry evrything is OK!!
