Navigation/Audio Question

For those of you that have replaced the stock raio with a Nav/Audio unit, does the nav/audio unit have RDS integrated in them? Me and the wife want to get one in the future and have noticed that most do not list or say if they have RDS or not.

I have the Pioneer AVIC-N1 and it does not have RDS. Here's some specs on the unit from ebay...

The RDS (Radio Data System) is not popular here...it's used to much greater effect in England and other European countries...even when it IS used here, it mostly defines the format of the station (Rock, Country, etc) and isn't used to anywhere NEAR its full potential...

Mac, I've seen those specs in Pioneer's '05 catalog.
RF, Here in Detroit we actually get the name of the song and artist as well as format. :rolleyes: But I know what you mean. Oh Well doubt not having it is going to be a deterrent from us getting one.
