Mostly finished new cold air system. All thats left to do is seals and the ram/vent air tubes.
Yes I said ram/vent air, the unit has an indirect opening in the rear to let the air circulate though and act as a particle separator. It's also insulated in and out with the same heat barrier tape I used when I polished my intake.
Now, I could not install the ram/vent tube and let the vacuum created by the rotating wheel pull the air through the stock opening in the radiator support and install a rubber compression ring around the maff to seal the system off completely.
Your opinion time, should I:
(A) have a blow through air separator/cold air system.
(B) have a vacuum created by a turning tire separator/cold air system.
I'm in favor of the blow though type myself.
Oh, to help achieve this I moved the windshield washer reservoir to a new location. This opens up a fairly large hole in the fender above the air pump. Check it out.
We will see. Pics coming soon guys.

I'm interested to see where you move the reservoir.
I fabbed up a "cold air" box for my conical filter last year to draw air through the stock boot and from a few holes cut into the front of the air compressor box. It's a tight fit but it seems to breath ok. The filter still looks pretty clean too.

The washer tank was moved to behind the bumper support out of the way and left behind a never nice opening for more air flow. Waiting on a new tank so I can relocate it higher than were it's mounted right now.
Your are box looks great BTW.

here's some pics, mind you it's not finished yet. This is made out of fiberglass and is closed on the bottom and back. The only opening are on the front at the 2 holes and the side where the washer tank was located.

nope, it's right behind the bumper where there wouldn't be that much air flow anyway. I'd say at most it's very minimal to no effect on cooling.

Nope, not at all. Thats why I found a long funnel with a tube atached... the same kind I used to fill the tranny up with.
