Dennis (or anyone else),
Anyone have a picture of this bra on the car? With all the highway driving I do, I have kind of kicked around putting a bra on to keep the front end looking decent until I pick up a commuter car. But I worry about bra fitment and the marks they can leave if they flap at the edges at highway speed or get left on the car after a rain.

Ditto....never have seen one before on a Marauder.....Had one on my Taurus but after a while it left marks on the rounded edges of the bumper on either side...white car with black marks rubbed in from road grime. But may want one just for shows and get togethers.

How does it attach in the midsection?
Reason I ask - I had one on my car when I bought it used. I took it off the day I got it home.
The grill has 4 evenly spaced scuff marks on the top section where the nylon holding straps were rubbing. I think wrapping them in black felt would've prevented it.
I personally do not like the look so thats why it came off, after seeing the grille I'd let others know to bear that in mind depending on the retention design.
On that note, the bra on my car and the ones you have may be completely different designs, but I wanted to bring this up. Again, I think it can be mitigated with some black felt where those nylon parts were rubbing.
So, just an FYI...

Here are a couple of shots with mine wearing the bra. It's not the best design and is susceptible to wind lift at highway speeds at the corners and above the grille area. I secured mine with wire ties to keep it from lifting over the grille.
I think it detracts from the look of the Marauder front fascia, but it sure keep the bugs and road debris from chipping the paint. I don't drive mine too much, but when it does come out of the shed 97% of the driving it gets is at highway/interstate speed.

I'm 99% sure that's the same one I have.
You see the spots where it enters the grille on the top? That's where I have scuffs.
I can't find a pic that shows them. I haven't done anythign about them because they don't stand out too bad. In certain high-sunlight times they're quite apparent.
Some CAM'ers can comment on them, I know some have noticed them.
The scuffing probably occurs if the wind is moving it around, so maybe tying it down as you did will do the trick.
If it's the same one, I wonder if my car's previous owner ever came by here, it came with SS inserts, mecury logo caps, and the bra pictured above. Dealer said he traded it in for a Hemi 300C, I bought the MM last memorial day.

IMO prolonged use of a bra scuffs the paint.:(

It uses clips not velcro. Sadly I fumbed with the clips a bit while trying to take it off. :(

The hood part of my Marauder bra flapped around and the portion over the top of the grill got air under it and bubbled at speeds greater than 75 mph. Below that speed it seemed fine. I used it on my road trip to and from MVII but haven't dug it out since.

I believe the clear bra's are a thin plastic covering that adheres directly to the paint. It's clear so you don't notice it much. I think 3M makes them.

I ordered one from "the dealer" a few weeks ago, it arrived today. I havent installed it yet...maybe sunday if the weather is nice. I have to put a few coats of wax on the front end first. I did the same with a bra I had on a previous car and had no probs with it rubbing.
I am tired of cleaning bug guts off the front end

there is a cover for the license plate area that is stitched into the bra when it comes new...if you want you can remove it easily to show the front plate as seen here.

Dennis, the clear bra is a clear plastic sheet made by 3M that adheres to the car. I have the fulll kit which covers the front bumper (extends about 4 -5 inches around the sides), grill (not the verticle bars), the upper valance (above the headlights and grill) and the back of both rearview mirrors. After my MM received some minor front bumper / headlight damage the insurance company (State Farm) reimbursed me for the entire cost of the bra. I was able to get the piece on the bumper replaced, had all the lights (including the fog light) lenses covered in their heavier material and a piece added to the rear bumper between (the section that is exposed when you open the trunk. I'm very pleased with the performance of the material. You treat it just like the rest of the paint on the car. The only drawback is a thin line that is visiable between the clear bra and the paint. I can try to take a picture but it doesn't show up most of the time. I've had people looking at the car and they never notice the clear bra until after I mention it to them! My installer said they could cover an entire car if you had the time & money. Any other questions, feel free to PM me.
see: http://www.xpel.com/ for a dealer located near you.

I think this is exactly what I need. And covers the area that I clean the most and that see the most beating - especially the headlights.

Although the Clear Bra is a little on the expensive side you won't be disappointed if you get it.
Sorry to hijack your thread Dennis.

I went to the website and searched for dealers in my area. Closest is about an hour and a half away. Did sent them a contact email though, and will see what they say.

Interesting.
I admit, the bra install is a PITA, however, it is a good fitting bra and does not flap at speeds up to 100 MPH if installed correctly. ;)
Only to be used for road trips, I am glad I bought mine.
Mike.
