It has been a little over a year since I bought the MM. Since then My Car has been egged, keyed, stolen, and ran into for the third time yesterday.
My insurance has almost doubled since I bought the car at Pretty much no fault of my own!! Yesterday I got rear ended (again) and Ive decided to park it in the garage, only to come out on nice days and such...I thought about selling it, but i couldnt bring myself to do it. I will be getting a Mustang for my daily driver. The MM has been great as my daily, but I cant bear to have another incident with it. How many of you use the MM as a daily driver? Do you have as many problems with the common public?:shake:

Mine's a driver and one day some jealous student spit on it. No keying, etc., though.
I think they know that HS kids are stupid and whoever does it will blab to someone else, and it will eventually get to me.
Of course, I'm in IA. Most people around here don't even lock their stuff up.

Mine is a daily driver too. I drive about 500 miles per month, taking pains to park 40 or 50 yards away from store entrances. After 32 months of ownership, no door dings, no scratches, no mishaps of any kind. If my MM experienced the same misfortune yours has, I'm sure a paranoia/persecution syndrome would have surely set in by now. Actually, my wife says I've been paranoid about my cars since birth, but, of course, she tends to "over-exaggerate" a little bit.
Keep the faith, as there's a undeniable "pride of ownership" in these rare 'Rauders.

All that action in just over a year??? I think that I would be installing the "excorcism" mod. Maybe your area just has an abundance of ..... ???

No problems so far after owning over a year and a half. Drive it every day, park in a humongous garage with everyone else. Most occupants are professional or semi-professional types though. Don't know if that makes any difference. Many cars MUCH more expensive than mine in there - maybe they draw all the jealousy away from me. I do have a very short drive to work though, but it is fraught with danger. Was clobbered by red light runner shortly before I got the Marauder.

I've had mine for 9 1/2 months. I only lost the factory valve caps. Plus the bugs are having a field day with the paint.

BIRDS!
The birds have landed! And they seem to like my driveway. They use the drivers mirror as a pirch and ***** all over the place. They did this on the company car also.
I thought the MM was safe and sound in the garage. But yesterday, I noticed they invaded the garage and ***** on both of the MMs mirrors and the trunk lid! :mad2:
I am buying one of those fake owls! Lil bastids!

I have driven the car almost daily since 9/06/02. I have NEVER had such an incident.
It's been my experience that since a car is viewed as an extension of the owner, things like this are not car related but owner related. Got any bad blood with someone? If so your Mustang may have the same incidents.

Daily driver here in MN. The only "incidents" are a two inch scratch from my 7 year old son's friend bike (Not the best bike handling skills on the young ones :( ) and when a bungee cord let go and wacked into my spoiler:( (my bad).
Yea the birds at work have used the MM for target practice as well:mad2:
Sorry you have had so many problems.

Egged once last Halloween, with a hard boiled egg no less.
Left a nice bulls eye above my drivers side wheel well.:(

I thought those fake owls only work on pigeons?

63K.
I put 15+K in 4 months and have parked her the last 4 months.
I started the Zaino treatment yeaterday and I am almost finished.
The paint held up well during those 15K miles, got 24 paint chips and several water spots. Got most of the waterspots out. You can still see them under a flourescent, but not sun lite.
Touch up paint will help w/ the paint chips.

i ve had mine 2 months and have driven it everyday. work is 50 miles roundtrip. the only problem i ve had so far is a bird at work that had the stomach flu one day and decided to use the whole front clip ( and i mean hood ,fenders and rims ) as his latrine.
i never saw a car get hit that bad. my co workers called me on the two way and said i should go look at my car. i said to myself
''bird crap, big deal, how bad could it be''. i get out there and they
are on the ground laughing and i m like '' holy $%^$ '' . it was really funny for them because they know i m anal about my car.
they probably had bets about how long before i took it to the carwash. whoever slapped a fin on 2 mins after i saw it cashed in.

All of this could have happened to a mustang and I wouldnt have cared as much. I just moved to the other side of town, hopefully that helps. Been mustang shoppin for a few days now found a few I like, probably take one home in a few days then I can "hide" the MM from IDIOTS

Man, i feel your pain. Bought the MM in november and i have been keyed by my neighbor, her son also hit my bumper with his bike, been hit in a parking lot, been rearended, and had a dresser fall out of the back of a trailer and hit my front bumper on the highway. I have had horrible luck with this car.
SIG... Marauder: someone who attacks in search of booty. (hell yea images/smilies/smile.gif )
By the sound of your last post I think that your Maruader has been Marauded more than it has been Marauding. :bigcry:
I'm sorry about that. It isn't the fault of the car. Really. :)
Best,

Well as for me, I have had my Marauder for almost 17 Months and have 2 door dings, been "bumped" on both corners of the front bumber while parked, lucky only very small scratches left after rubbing black and and white paint off my bumper, a couple of scratches from someone one possibley resting an item on my car and then dragging it off, and of coarse the dredded birds. I went on vacation for one week and my car was hit twice....by the time I got back cleaned it off it was too late and had a couple of stains in the paint on the bumper by the license plate and one on the trunk lid. Pisses me off everday I see it. Also 1 chip from the Dealership because my bumper was crooked and when they went to readjust it they chipped the paint above the grille and denied it....put touch up paint on. Oh yeah and one that was my fault..very slight case of curbrash on one rim....ouch....not too bad though, just a scratch about 2 inches long along the rim of the rim.....
