Just returned from the Carlisle All Ford Nationals. For the 3rd consecutive year my DTR won awards in the modified mercury class. Two years ago 3rd place, 1 year ago 2nd place, this year two awards, 3rd place and Celebrity Judges Award. I saw 3 other marauders at the show and enjoyed talking to the owners, some are members on this board.

Everyone has two comments --

Love these Marauders and
What the heck was Ford thinking by not properly promoting this car?

Regards to all.

I called them today to see who won P19 (1969+ Full Size F/L/M)

I don't know who 1st and 3rd were (the names), but second place was Kaufman, the black '04 with 2600 miles, all stock! So another MM got 2nd place in the P19 class.

My MM didn't get anything in P19, but honestly as a non-stock MM it should've been in Modified Mercury instead. I was happy to gather in the stock area though, I don't mind being the wrong spot if we park together. :)

Here's some pics of the event from Saturday:

BTW that silver Eleanor clone, the guy did the paintjob himself in his garage - no booth. It was very well done for an "at home" job. Lots of wet sanding and lots clear he said. :)

I'm a new memeber Mike Poore turned me on to the Web-Site. I had my stock DTR in the P19 class at carlilse Friday & Saturday early AM. I had to leave about 10:00 AM on Saturday. If anyone knows how the Full-size class awards wound up I'm curious. I think the MM should have its own class!

Mr. Kaufman's black '04 won 2nd place, I recall his name when I called them for the winners. I don't recall the other names for 1st and 3rd, I may not have known them.
