Ok enough of this driving to Porky's and sitting around. :sleepy: (Not that is a bad thing) I propose we all meet at a gas station (to top off) then just drive some where??? I know some beautiful roads in the twin cities from riding my motorcycle and would be willing to work out a route with everyone. Even if its just meeting at the BP at 94 and Lexington and driving out to Minnetonka to the A&W.

Any interest in Sunday June 10?

Issues would be meeting time, route, distance willing to travel, time willing to spend, who's bringing a camera.

Maybe if someone was willing to Host a Bar B que we could all drive to your house? Or we could get stuff together and drive to a park?

Suggested routes:

Meet at Harriet Island in Saint Paul cruise along the river to Mississippi River Blvd in St. Paul. We'd go over the river at lake st and take the first right. The road there leads to the stone arche bridge in MPLS. Beautiful short route.

Longer route could be to anywhere with food at the end.

any interest???

Sounds good if the weather stays nice. How about something a little longer?

As a motorcyclist myself, WI 35 into Red Wing would be a fun cruise.

How about MN61 to Wabasha, lunch at Slippery's, then WI35 home. Beautiful route. I ride it regularly. Plenty of places to stop too.

I was actually thinking about something along those lines too. I have several favorite corners, on ramps, off ramps and underpasses that my MM and I really love and we have always wanted to share them with other MM's and their owners too. I know you guys have some great spots too so we could, like you said map them out and everyone could take us to there spot. If anyone has to leave early than we can have them take us to there spots first. One thing that would really be great is if anyone has access to enough Nextel direct connect phones or walkie talkies where the lead driver could talk to all the poeple behind him to explain for example; "Make sure your in the right lane because this is our exit and is one of my spots, I'm slowing down to get some breathing room from the car in front of me, remeber I've been around this corner a hundred times so you dont have to keep up with me just enjoy it, it goes to the right first then left and right again, etc. etc. etc.
I know this sounds like alot of work compaired with a cruise to Wabasha but it woul be a blast:burnout:we could still plan a spot for lunch for those who have a whole day and a set of rears to burn.

P.S. I hope it does not seem as though I hijacked your thread with this idea and I too was just thinking of an alternative to sitting at Porky's with our hoods popped.

Naw, I like sitting at Porkies with the hood opened up.

j/k

Lets try a short cruise first. Meet in the "City" and head out to the Minnetonka Drive Inn on the west side (where we can open the hoods and sit around talking:D)

I like the ideas of having the "walkie-talkie" thing also, not that I have any.

I'm on call this weekend gents and my Marauder isn't quite finished with the engine rebuild so I won't be able to make this run.

Should be ready at the end of this week. See everyone soon!

I should be there. I will just meet everyone at the drive in. It is literally 5 minutes from my house. no sense in me driving all the way to porky's just to come back home

Thanks for putting this together Jeremy, it was fun. Most MM's I've seen in one place. Can't wait to see the pictures.
