Blackstone will send you a free test collection kit and the instructions on how to use it. (The test itself is $20.) The collection kit has everything you need to collect and properly mail it to them.

The only thing to remember is not to try and catch the oil immediately...let it drain for a couple of seconds before using the supplied collection bottle.

The people at Blackstone are really friendly and don't try to rush you off the phone if you have questions...must be a mid-west thing...people in Salt Lake City were the same way when I was there for the Olympics (working, not enjoying, although I did have a blast.)
