Anyone else have octane knock at top end? Not S/C'ed, no nitrous, just N/A. I have a tune on it and wonder if I'm going to have to tone it down due to the octane issue.

I really can't tell wether it is spark knock, which I think it is, or if it is something in the valvetrain. Anyone else have this problem? I had my LH cylinder head replaced, due to the cooling issue with early MM's built before 11/2002. I trust the service guys got it all put back together right a year and a half ago, but should probably have them take a look at it.

Coming up on the warranty in the next few days or so. 3 Yr/36000 mi., just kind of worked out exactly that way. Go figure. Anyway, want to take it in, pay them for a trans fluid flush, (approx. $200.00) and have them fix all the little stuff right before the warranty runs out.

I'm going to put the stock tune back on it......:shake:

run it and see if it makes the same sound. If not, retune. If it does I will add this to my list of things to be done under warranty.

I know that I've recently had some poor quality fuel that caused me some concern. The "winter blend" tends to suck. Have not had an issue since I got rid of that tankful.
