That is, quite simply, the coolest car I have ever seen. :coolman:

Did anyone else see what was in the background of the shop pics?

That is, quite simply, the coolest car I have ever seen. :coolman:Oh now, I wouldn't say that. Second coolest maybe. Cool is more than just speed. What's wrong with something that's not quite as fast as that but has 4 doors, room for 4 six foot tall men to sit and travel in comfort on real leather seats, and is quiet inside so you can put some Sinatra on and relax. THAT'S cool in my book. As for cool that GT40 is a nine on the scale of one to ten.
We've got the coolest car model. And amongst us here at MM.net is the coolest car in the world in my opinion, and we all know who he is. He's got a TEN! 10.6 at 129 mph, that is.

Did anyone else see what was in the background of the shop pics?Yep, I saw what looked to be some type of Jag, a Viper, a Lambo, and last, but certainly not least, a Saleen S7! I'd want to drive the Saleen at least once, but I think that the Ford GT looks the best, and after getting a ride in one, I must say that they handle incredible!!!
As far as what car is a "ten" and what is a nine, I think that's difficult to pin down because there isn't any one car that can possibly do it all. Some offer ride comfort, while others offer superb handling around tight turns, while others are straight line 8 or 9 second monsters that require race gas at $6 per gallon. None can do it all which is precisely one of the reasons why wealthy guys have many different cars.
However, with all of that in mind, I must say that after driving a supercharged Marauder on a daily basis now for well over two years, and having chalked-up 50,000 miles on it, that a S/Ced Marauder is definitely the closest thing to a car that can do it all. Ride comfort even for four if not five people during interstate travel, getting 17 MPG on the highway, while at the same time being able to blast through a quarter mile pass in 12 seconds flat on pump gas alone, and being faster than any other daily driven cars on the street, as well as faster than most fair weather sports cars on the street too. Certainly a rare combination.

Four 6 ft tall men? I’d prefer to have only one person riding along, who is neither 6ft tall nor a man. The Sinatra would sound fine on the factory McIntosh sound system.
I like my MM. But I would not take a fleet of 10 second MMs over a Ford GT…..
A guy here in my town has one of the GT's with twin turbos. His name is Joe. I dont know him personally by any stretch but have met him a few times while out. He has had it for 2-3 months or more.
He got it after a friend of mine in a 89 Ford Mustang with 331 and single, small turbo beat him. The GT was making over 800 at the wheels with some bolt ons and smaller supercharger pulley and nitrous. But couldnt hang with the Mustang.
So the GT owner got with a local speed shop and they built him a kit in I think 2 weekends. I havent seen the kit yet. Although I have seen the car while we were all out racing. But it sounds mean as crap. He appears to have all but given up racing cars and now races highly modded bikes.
He was making just over 1000hp at the wheels with the small twin turbos and I heard is upgrading to 2 larger turbos if he hasnt already.
I cant load the video here at work but I am pretty sure the car is not this guys. As there is no S7 in my town that I have heard of. Must be somewhere else.
