A front mask is a good idea. It prevents chips in paint. There are some drawbacks, Don't leave on the car if it is wet, it can damage paint . Make sure it is installed properly. If there is movement a highway speed it can chafe the paint. John

Has anyone used anything similar to X-pel's protective kits? It's a urethane sheet with adhesive that is applied to the front end and/or headlights. I've seen the headlight kit and it's barely noticeable, but was wondering how the front end piece looks on the car.

X-Pel has a kit available for the MM. If you go to their web site and check, it's really on the expensive side. You have to buy 3 seperate kits for the front of the mm. One for headlights, one for the bumper, and then a piece to go across the front of the hood. I really thought about going this way, but they also suggest professional install. That would probably run about $800+ including all kits.

Yeah they're definitely on the expensive side, but I like the fact that they're clear and supposedly hardly noticeable. I don't really want to put a front end mask on it. Just wondering if anyone has seen one of them in person. I'll probably at least do the headlight covers.

About how much do the headlight covers run for. Do they ,make them for the fogs?

Check X-Pel's web site. Everything is listed along with the prices when you search the make and model. www.xpel.com

If you've not been to the site the headlight and foglight covers are 69.96 I believe. I've seen a pair installed on a Honda and they're barely noticeable. You probably won't see them unless they're pointed out. Wish I would have known about these when my Cobra was new - I wouldn't have to replace the headlights now. Installation from what I hear wasn't too difficult and should be even easier on the Marauder headlights than the Honda I saw.

As many of us are preparing for a long haul to Ennis.....I looked around the house for my old mask that I used on the Marquis and dammit if I can't find it.
Fed up, I called this Eclipse place. Turns out that it is a mom and pop setup (no problem-gotta start somehow), but they don't have the patterns back from the designer yet.
What concerns me is that their's will be a two piece, and my old one from carcraft was a one piece. I don't get that. And the other is, the quality. There is no way to know what we will get....when we get it.
I ordered one..who knows when it will be ready? If it's not by the trip, I'm cancelling my order. I'll post an outcome when it happens.

Cruztaker, in my humble opinion there is nothing wrong with a two piece. One piece for the front and one for the forward edge of hood (that's if I understand the situation clearly). My Toyota Avalon has a two piece and its fits fine, etc., I also have one on back order from Eclipse but no one else is offering anything at this time... What else can we do? I hate this waiting game and not knowing what we're going to get.... I can only say that Eclipse has been around for a long time and what I've purchased from them has been top quality, etc...
Thanks,
Donald

Phew...thanks for shedding some light on the entire subject.
I did not think it was possible to put a separate piece on our hood, as our hood has a lip. The other cars, like mazdas and hondas, have a hood that has a flat forward edge....so I just can't figure how to slip something over our hood and still close it?
Anyway, I found my old one, and am gonna trot outside and check the fit. If it fits, I'm good to go....who needs foglites on a road trio anyway?
Appreciate the reply.
