SSM Key West Road Trip

I have been thinking about putting together a Key West Run. I spoke to another member last month about it and he had mentioned that a poker run down to the Keys would be fun.

I was thinking about leaving early on a Saturday morning and heading down to the Keys for the day. I know that there are many things we can do down there for fun.

1. Deep Sea Fishing Trip
2. Snorkling
3. Picnic / Bar-B-Q
4. Swimming / Feeding Dolphins


I was even thinking of maybe spending the night and leaving sunday morning or early afternoon. Im sure if anyone is interested in spending the night we can get a pretty good deal on a hotel for the night. It would be bad A$$ to see 10+ Marauders barraling down the 7 mile bridge. If some of you think it is too far of a drive we can maybe head down to Islamorada for the day instead.

So what do you guys think. I know its summer time and a lot of you have kids on summer break. I think it would be a good time to get out and enjoy the summer in the Sunny Keys with your family and friends.
If there is enough interest I will make a few phone calls and see what we can have planed for the day and maybe a hotel stay for those that might want to spend the night.

1 and 2 are cool ideas, and then maybe sloppy joes after. Only thing is that if its Saturday, I wont be able to go. But sure there will be others that will enjoy themselves.

Rob, I think it is a great idea but this weekend I have car service on Sat, with Claude in Fort Myers and MVIV meeting Sunday in Orlando. I hope it works out for others but if you guys choose another weekend please count us in. thanks, Dennis:beer:

Its not going to be this weekend. Im shooting for sometime in the middle of next month to give people some time to be able to plan it around work.
I want to give everyone a fair chance to attend. I think it will be a good way to get together and hang out with our friends and family and not have to wait for the once a year picnic.

For a one day trip KW is a bit of a stretch, maybe Bahia Honda (yeah yeah its just a name), I think they have pavillions and what not, beach/facilities/etc. Could do a stop there and the hardcore group could push on later down to Sloppy Joes or HB Inn.
