For most of us the gas pedal is an ON - OFF switch :D

Me thinks something is wrong with both of your (you and wife) right feet.

Marauder: 17-19 in city, 22-24 on open road.
Continental: 17-19 city, 26-29 on open road.

On that other MM site someone posted complaining about his MM's poor gas mileage (22 MPG). A couple of "classic" owners went off about how their 40 year old cars get as good mileage as our late model cars and how little technology has done for the modern cars, efficiency-wise. Well, I had to question these assertions of gas mileage supremacy in older cars. I never had a full-size big-block anything that would get more than 15 MPG. My '72 Cougar XR7 convertible would sometimes get 17 MPG, if I had a good tailwind. Even with gas as cheap as it was back in the '60s, I kinda think Popular Mechanics would have made mention of a full-size tuna boat that could crack 20 MPG. Any experts out there want to give an opinion?

My car is S/C. The post Katrina traffic patterns are frequently grid lock. Many stop lites have been replaced by stop signs and many roads are buckled from being under water for 3 weeks & leaking water pipes.

You will never get 19 in this metro area.

I find it % that a car that is S/C w/ 560HP at the crank gets the same mileage as a V-6 w/ 260HP.

"V-26 w/ 260HP"

Wow, I didn't now Honda had a V-26 out, making only 10 hp per cylinder to, thats pretty sad. :D
