Although this has nothing to do with the Marauder, I need some advice. I have a 1970 Cadillac Deville Convt. which I am restoring. My problem is that I cant seem to find many parts for it including a few remanufactured aftermarket parts. I know that a lot of you guys are knoledgable in this field so I am asking for some advice to be lead in the right direction.
Im looking for a website or company where I can get most of the parts I need. I have seen a ton of sites and companies ( YearOne, Original Products Group ) where you can get virtually anything there is available for the muscle cars but none for the Caddys. Is there anyone out there that knows a good source to get parts for my caddy.....Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Have you ever been here :
http://forums.500cid.com
I'm sure some people there would have some info.
Also, have you ever checked out Hemmings online ?.
Tons of vendors advertise in there that cater to specific makes.
Ghost,
Exactly what parts are you looking for? Driveline, trim, body panels, electrical, etc. I may be able to help if you can be more specific. Man I love 472's!

I will see what I can dig up... I have had good luck searching the net for parts suppliers for my 1976 Eldorado but I have not really needed much. Suprisingly, AutoZone has been able to get most parts I needed.
I know I have a catalog somewhere at home that has lots of the harder to find parts (like trunk emblems, hood ornaments, etc.) but have not seen it in a while.
I just wish I could find the time to finish fixing mine up. I really want it to be daily drivable. Hopefully I find someone to do it for me this summer.
This link (http://www.remaker.com/caddy/survival.html) may get you started.

J Im looking for replacement sheet metal for the floor and trunk, possibly a quarter pannel or two, exhaust manifold, AC compressor, altenator, and a few other small things.
What side exhaust manifold?
I think I have the alternator, but why not get that from NAPA as well as the AC compressor?.
No sheetmetal is made for the caddy's, but if you a call a good scrapyard in California/arizona, they might be able to help you.

You need to go to NAPA, they have what you need.
Ill look for the exhaust manifold, otherwise call Maximum Torque Specialties.

Another question I have is what can I do to trick out the engine. It has 146,000 miles and I was thinking about rebuilding it. I know Caddy's arent made for speed like the bigger body muscle cars like the GTO, or the Pontiac Le Mans, but it would be nice to have a little more horsepower under the hood.

That is Maximum Torque Specialties (http://www.500cid.com/) own forum.
If anyone can give you advice & how to give your Caddy more get up & go, it's MTS & the people that hand on that board.
I've had luck in the past tracking down older mechanical parts here(your alt & a/c comp.) -

Last time I checked they could get me an a/c compressor for my 72 Toro. Don't see why they could'nt get one for your Cad.
You should have no problem finding an alternator or a/c compressor at NAPA, CARQUEST or Ice Cold Air and Tropical (The Delco distributors in S.E. FL). Pay attention to the "clock" position on both the alternator and the compressor so you don't have to fudge the wiring harnesses.
You say the old tanker doesn't have enough power? Finding a mechanic with a brain should take care of that. Unlike modern cars, that car can be tuned. Cadillac defined torque in the sixties. That car, once you get the 5600 lbs. of it rolling, should propel itself quite well. That's why I mentioned "I love 472's" in my prior post. Of course with $3 a gallon premium fuel and 11 miles/gal., you probably should relegate it to Sundays only.
If you need contact persons in your area at the parts places, PM me.

Dont rebuild the engine if its running good. The Cadillac blocks of those years had the highest nickel content in them of any engine ever made. They dont wear out if the oil has been changed, seriously.
I had a 76 caddy with a 500. I added an edelbrock manifold, holley carb, heavier distributor weights for quicker timing advance and a dual exhaust and ran 14.2. 5500lb car, Im not joking either.
