MM Owners on the site

I did some quick calculations to see what our chances are of seeing another member of MM.Net on the street:

Sales through 3/2003: 4100

Members on this site: 819

2003 Marauders registered on IMMC: 143

So, assuming every Marauder owner on this site already registered on IMMC (if you haven't, it's listed in the links), only 3.5% of all Marauder owners have accounts here on MM.Net. So the next time you see one on the street, it's doubtful they've ever been here!

Yes, quick, and easy too. Only way to get through deep paperwork, is with serious and focused motivation. Works for me, but the IRS doesn't agree. They protested, but later accepted my first post-divorce tax return in '86, claimed the Crayon gummed up their scanners. But, they outright refused my '87 return and made me re-file. Reject letter said something about "just pick one color, okay?" Like I said, no sense of humor. G-men...Can't live with them, can't kill 'em. Go figure...

Yeah, our membership numbers are misleading. There's a bunch of crown vic owners registered, as well as Impala owners too... Plus, 55% of the traffic on the site is actually un-registered guests just lurking in the background. Who knows how many are marauder owners... :)

That being said, it isn't all that hard to find this site either. Simple domain names rock. :)

I believe Mark got his numbers, based on

4500 MM sold = 100%

143 MM registered on IMMC = 3.50%

In other words, most likely only 143 members of this site are actual MM owners. The rest are CV, GM, SS and soon-to-be.

That's why he says, if you see one out there, he (she) is most likely not aware of MM.net. Otherwise they would have registered their MM on IMMC.

Although I am registered on IMMC, my Marauder is not listed in the 2003 Profile. Joined IMMC and MM.Net before purchasing the MM. Never updated the IMMC profile. John

Yes, but mostly for the older generation of Marauder. There isn't a lot routinely posted on the '03, other than the registry.

I was never able to register with IMMC. Their server always bombed on me. I did'nt figure I was missing much. And like JG said, hard to use. Besides, are we comfortable posting our VIN numbers on the internet? It's good here....
