^^^what Mac said^^^
I think Trilogy was looking to do something, but to my knowledge there are currently no aftermarket hoods readily available.

It's one thing to say "I want an afterarket hood", but when you get down to it (and there have been many threads/posts in regards to this) you have to decide how you want it to look.
The simple fact is that the majority of people, at least right now, cannot decide on one design. Because of this, investors (like Trilogy) do not want to invest in a hood that only three people will buy.
Any other company will probably not invest money into either...how many people are honestly going to buy an aftermarket hood for hundreds of dollars if it doesn't have most, if not all of the stuff they're looking for. I know I'm not going to waste my money on a product that has some of what I want. If I'm going to shell out big bucks, I want to have a functional hood, designed to fit the car perfectly, AND have it look great - but what I think looks good on a Marauder might be different from the next person. I have yet to see a classic design that fits the Marauder's style. It's a tricky thing to design something and make it look like it fits. :)
Just my $.02

U would think someone would come out with a hood for the MM.It all comes down to economics...there aren't enough MMs out there to justify the R&D and manufacturing costs...plus IMHO most of us prefer a stealthier look...(TooManyFords not included... )
*EDIT* Dammit, I'm getting old...blackf0rk beat me to it. Again. I need to learn to type faster...

Well being in the restoration car market working at Year One I understand teh whole supply and demand but there would be a market for hoods for the Vics and MM if someone hung it out there and made a go at it. With the Photoshop and technology they could do it on a computer send it out on these sites and get input and see what the majority would want and like. It is not that hard to get a demand it is just the fact of getting it out there to let people know you have ideas. That is what SEMA is for. It is time for someone to step up. Start with a Cowl induction hood. That is a timeless classic and then go from there.

That has been tried several times. About 3 or 4 designs get voted on in polls, but nobody can agree on one single design.

That is when it goes to a majority rules and what would flow the best on the car and what sells on other cars. Cowl Hoods sell for every car they are made for. Then they could go from there with a ram air hood or an SS style hood. To many options. I wished we dealt with those cars here at work.

If a hood comes out I hope it would be something more then a Mustang designed scoop slapped on our hood

I think a cowl hood would even look good. You can almost guarantee it will be based close to a Mustang hood. But looks like we want have to worry about a hood for a while.

Will hopefully have one ( cowl scoop hood ) soon.
Got weary of all the polls, gonnas, waffling, etc.; found an inexpensive hood and a ( IMO ) suitable cowl scoop and am now looking for a body person to do the fabrication.

Functional scoop I assume?
Have you seen the quality first hand, or is it yours?

Now I love that hood on the black MM. I may have to get a scoop and a another hood and get my Dad to help me Fab one. We did a Cowl Hood for the 65 Chevelle we built and it turned out great.

Not ! *I've searched high and low there, as well as places like Harwood.
That particular scoop is ....
- 3" tall.
- 48˝" long.
- 31" wide at the back.
- 21" wide at the front.
- sold on eBayŽ.

WEll if it is sold on ebay then there is a company out there producing them. Ebay doesn't make them. I didn't say that one in particular anyways I just said that places like that sell cowls. So before you be sarcastic think before you speak I was just making a statement of where you I guess can buy similar ones.

I, like Joe, would like to see a link if you know where it's at. We've been looking into getting a decent cowl hood for 2 years now.

I'm getting ready to start looking for some type of scoop or somthing and get another hood to start experimenting on. I can't stand the flat hood.

I got the feeling that it wasn't a company; rather an independent that fills a niche.

Wasn't being sarcastic, however, you were the one that implied that ... Those cowls can be bought anywhere ... which wasn't true.

I like the second hood. So I wonder how many orders do we need to make it cost effective for a limited production
