as much as i hate to be without it, it is going to the dealer...!!
problem 1......... somewhere in the suspension dept there is a loud
metallic 'click' . i jacked it up and looked at all the obvious culprits and found nada. although it did make a very similar noise as i was jacking it up. i m thinking springs or shocks, but i dont see anything obvious.
problem 2......... my brakes just plain suck!!! i know there are probably threads on this, but to be honest i didnt feel like searching!!! i have low pedal that requires a lot of effort and right now the only thing i can do to get a decent pedal is to do the double pump!!! i am guessing a master cylinder or a bad vacuum assist. my old crown vic had the abs lite on and would stop like nobodys business....
problem....3.... radio is doing the reception fade thing....this one is not a biggeee .. i will just have them swap it out!
i m still under warranty for another 6k or untill dec 26th,06..
any input would be very much appreciated.......

They will never find the clunk. I learned to live with it.

I've got an 03 Marauder, I had a rear shock absorber go. The car was still under warranty but I was forced to open my wallet to pay for it. The dealer called this one a "normal wear and tear" item. I did both shocks as in a pair. It's not like you can go to NAPA and get them, I guess these are special to this car.

1) Shock, spring or swaybar link
2) Air in the braking system look for oil around calipers
or Sliders are seized/sticking can have similar results
chances are they will replace the calipers!!
3) defective Radio/antennea or radio-chassis ground
poor connections on back of radio...
my bet is defective radio

I believe there Monroe shocks for the rear (Sensa Trak) available for the MM.

Must depend on the dealer. Don Reid Ford replaced one of my shocks that broke under the Ford extended warranty. I was surprised because the service writer told me it would not be covered. None of the others were leaking or bad, so they didn't get replaced.

Mine's in the shop right now getting the l/f shock replaced under warranty at 30K. I tried to get the right one replaced as a pair, and the service writer tried to help, but no go. I axt about paying to replace the right one so they would match, but they quoted $98 for the shock and $71 labor. I said no thank you. I get a discount on parts over the counter there, and I'll put it in myself.
Are there any aftermarket front shocks available for the Marauder? The few sites I've been on don't list anything for the Marauder, and I'm guessing they are different than the CV/GM shocks altogether.

I have an '04 and had the drivers side rear shock replaced due to leaking...it was replaced uner warranty but they would not replace in pairs. The question was never brought up as to if it would be covered under warranty.

Sounds like shocks are a problem on those cars. I guess all cars have a few common glitches.
