Got this carmax decal on my MM. Each letter is a seperate decal. What's a good way to get it off without hurting the paint? Thanks

Goo Gone, WD-40, alcohol or a credit card to lift an edge then peel off.

Use your fingernail to start, then peel off. Especially if it's a new sticker.
3M makes a woodgrain and vinyl adhesive remover spray if the glue stays on the car, but peeling with some alcohol or acetone will probably do the trick.

Use fishing line like it's dental floss to get under the emblem. Use denatured alcohol (nothing else) to remove goo/remnants. Wax the area.

Is this a good way ( the alcohol that is) to remove a painted on pinstripe too?

I'm curious about that too Rich, as New Blue has a silver pinstripe that I'm not probably going to like when i pick up the car in a few weeks. This MM is going to stay stock, honest injun!:D
I was told mineral spirits, which I know is not going to hurt the oem paint, but not sure if it is strong enough to take off the stripe too.

I used a heat gun on a low setting to warm the letters up, used fishing line and wd-40 to removed the glue on my friends car.

Warm up the letters with a heat gun.

They should come off with nothing more than a finger nail.

Isopropanol will not hurt the paint, but will remove the wax.

Do not use any paper products to wipe with. Only 100% cotton towels/rags.

So true Rich.
She's withholding judgement 'til she sees the color of Blue it is.
Then we'll see just how good of a salesman I really am...

I always use a hair dryer to soften things up.

Peel off the letters, then use WD40, etc to get the rest of the glue.

Be careful with the heat gun, that'll get much hotter than a hair dryer.

You never really have to look too far, to find someone venting how the people they work for, can be un-reasonable & always on their azz.

But I gotta tell ya' .....

To actually have the company on your azz 24/7 ..... is literally(pun intended) the worst case scenario I have ever heard of.

I picked all the little bitty letters off with my fingernails carefully. Then Windexed the little bit of residue remaining. The dealer logo had only been on a few days, so it came off pretty easy.
