At the risk of smartassed replies, I would like to pose the question of City and Hwy mileage that you are all getting. I am getting approx 250 miles per tank and I run the AC alot ( its hotter than a 2 peckered goat here lately ).

Thanks in advance,

Donnie

Bone stock I got 325-350 a tank.

With 4.10 gears I also achieved 350 miles on one tank.

Since the S/C the most I've been able to get is 250, and the norm is 200-225.

I have not changed my route much, I'm still on the highway for 30 miles a week, the rest is city.

How many gallons do you put in per tank?

Not a Marauder, but for comparison. I get 200 miles per tank of 12 gallons in (16.9) town and 250 miles (20.5) on the highway. In town I drive expressways 60-75 + stop and go. On the highway I drive 70-80.

I'm getting around 21 with the a/c on and doing a combination of city and highway driving. All I have for mods are u/d pullies and a K&N drop in filter.

Before 11/24/05 I got good mileage since then I get great mileage. Not many miles per tank but every one of them is a blast. Dennis:beer:

When I re-fuel, Im putting in 16 gallons and Im getting 230 miles out of it. Most of it is city driving. Jeez, after seeing what some of you are getting, I am truly wondering if something is wrong w/ my MM. Any suggestions?

23.5 mph on the Highway. 16-17 mpg in heavy congestion in Northern Virginia/City/Suburbs. Bone Stock all the way.

Well I had to fill up on Saturday and it was my lowest milage yet....I put back on the stock air box and had been lead footing it around the last week and got 238 miles from that tank and I usually put around 16.7 gallons and run till the light comes on....Normally I can get around 270 miles on a good week with mostly city driving and over 400 miles per tank on all highway driving. Call me ignorant but I never knew how to calculate gas milage...it couldn't be as easy as dividing your gallons by miles traveled could it?

I AVERAGE 15-16MPG, and most of that is city. But, on road trips, I get upwards of 24.

Actually, it is the other way around. Now if you had a boat or an M1 tank, it would be gallons per mile. :D

Just be consisent on filling the tank. I just let it run until automatic shutoff with no extra "squeezes" to top it off. Reset your trip meter to "zero". Then repeat. The calculation is "Miles traveled divided by the gallons needed to bring you back to automatic shutoff". Its more accurate if you use the same pump .... but either way, you will be pretty darn close. ;)

I'm getting only about 14 to 15 MPG, all city driving, mostly hammering it from one light to the next.

I'm thinking about driving my 8.1L GMC 2500 HD to reduce my fuel bill.

Im in the same boat as you. Im sure if I kept my foot out of it I would do much better.
Still better mileage then my Chevy Avalanche. but not by much :(

i'm getting about 330-345 miles per tank, stock everything (except for proguard). i'm not sure how many mpg that is, but i'm counting the times when i fill up when the gas light comes on, and not topping off after the auto pump shut off. not sure how many gallons. i try not to look at mpg too much, and every time i try to keep track, i'm never diligent enough

I get 21 MPG highway, and about 18-19 mixed driving. No such thing as all city 'round these here parts.

EDIT: I should add I have 4.10s also.

When last I checked, it was 16 point something around town with me not trying to conserve (i.e. Lead Footing). I have had mods since then, haven't rechecked. I can tell you however, that highway 70-75 mph my mileage is around a quarter tank an hour. :)

I get about 12 in town- 16-18 highway, I am one of the more heavily modded daily drivers though, so getting that 16 or 18 is actually a treat :D ;)

19-20 around town with air running, 20-21 without air which isn't often. Tried to drive it gentle mileage went down to 18:dunno: Maybe I get caught by more lights. On the road i get 24 to 27.

The auto shut off will vary from pump to pump, and the difference could mean a gallon more, or, less in the numbers.

On my last road trip to the EAM meet at Barry's, I measured total mileage round trip vs. gallons consumed over the trip. Garage door to garage door, an average of 18.7 MPG. I'm impressed (and thankful), considering what the car is, and how it gets driven.

Mine is bone stock mechanically.

I consistantly get about 18 MPG and 300 miles per tank around town.
I get 22-23 on the highway and can get 400 miles on a tank if I feel lucky. :bandit:

Pure highway, taking the car out of state achieved 25mpg. Usually 19mpg around city, and highway 22.
But the main thing is after 4 years still a blast to drive.

One day I took a road trip and tried to push it, and I got 30 mpg, but thats no a/c, never letting the tach get over 2 grand, never turning the engine off until the end of the trip, etc.

A/C on and never letting the tach go over 2 grand(I drive that slow normally)---24 mpg highway, 15 city
