Has anyone removed the male connector at the top front of the block that goes into the water pump? I have a hose type 'barb' on the teksid block and an o ring style on the 03 block. I want to swap them out to use the same female tube end for the teksid block.

HEY CAVEPONY !

I was at Tim's today and he told me you shouldn't replace the fitting, just cut the OEM tube and add a barb fitting to compression fitting adapter. Then connect a piece of rubber (heater) hose between the two. The '98 and up blocks have the o-ring nipple while earlier ones have the barb.

Thanks man!!

That was my back up plan if I could not get the old one out. I hate cutting the OEM stuff, but that thing looks like I could easily damage it trying to swap. The other end has a hose on it, so why not both ends!!!

Another option besides using an adapter fitting could be to find someone with a flange making tool to put a rib on the end of the tube when you cut it off, but it may be easier to find a fitting.
