Hi --

Just pulled in with my brand new 300B with heated seats. I had been looking for this car for a few weeks. Got a dealer in Cedar Rapids to say he could acquire one or order me one (this was the guy who was going to let me order from invoice - incidentally I was told there was a price increase for newly ordered models so that ended our relationship)

As it turns out I was my own worst enemy. In my progress of asking dealers for a 300B with heated seats, 3 of them told me they had found one. Unfortunately, they were all the same vehicle. Each one said they would have to charge me a couple hundred$ to bring it to their lot (which I did not want to do but I could not find the friggin' thing myself for some reason). On top of that, none of the dealers would tell me where it was because they wanted the sale!

It got worse (initially) when I finally found the car about 100 miles from me in a very small town. I called and asked about it - was told 3 dealerships had called about it in the last 48 hours.

I asked if they would rather trade it or sell it. Of course the reply was "sell," so I faxed them my offer (which I had come up with from carbuyingtips.com - a great site - THANKS UncleLar!) They accepted it at the 4% profit level. I ended up paying $28,5XX for a car that was made 3 months ago and had 24 miles on it. It had been in the showroom for at least the last 3-4 weeks. It is beautiful!

Then I had to race home (no, really) to beat the possible hail storms.

Gonna curl up with a good book tonight (manual) and dream of tomorrow afternoon - a relaxed dayspent waxing it and putting in some silverstars.

Raud On!

Yes, another blue one...I would suggest the Bob Whites in chrome or the ssinserts, they accent the rear bumper quite nicely.

Oh - now I get it - the name I used.

Sorry Jrzy - the "Bluesmobile" is black. It's a movie reference.

Cop tires, Cop brakes, Cop Suspension, Cop Shocks . . .

I think the blue is attractive but also that this car was born to be one color, and that is black. :pimp:

Thanks,

AHHH, my mistake...I guess there's still only a few of us out there. Color doesn't matter, it's the attitude that counts....

Actually J - let me know when you plan to visit Dennis in June. I might see about making it a double!

THEN we can pound some of those HS kids in their punk Grand Ams!

Have to see how bills work out this month tho' Also hoping to get 1000 miles on mine before that long highway trip. I was constantly changing speed on the 100 miles home yesterday, until I heard the storms coming then I thought a few WOTs were in order. :D

No cop in the world should give me a ticket for trying to protect such a beautiful machine . . ..

Where exactly in Iowa do you live? I grew up just north of Marshalltown. Beaman-Conrad to be exact.

Funny - I teach in Grundy Center. (the band director) Our kids just got back from their 5th straight Division I at state yesterday, so I went out and bought myself a MM to celebrate. (My wife says I don't get to do this every year).

I live in Cedar Falls, but my MM will be in GC daily - until school is out. Then about once a week. :uzi:

Thanks,

A, I saw cruising on HWY 20 yesterday at about 4:45. It made me double take a few times, as I'm not used to seeing a Marauder on the Street!

Is that Janesville, WI ?

If you are that close you should make it to the Union Grove on May 17th. Check the lounge for the thread.

Nope - Janesville, IA (MUCH smaller) but not too far away.

Where's this gathering now? Never heard of the location. About how far is it from Waterloo/Cedar Falls IA?

Maybe I can show depending on travel time.

Thanks,

Congrats on your new MM!

I did a contract in Cedar Rapids two years ago for 8 months.
I enjoyed the area very much!

My new MM should be delivered in 2-3 weeks and I can hardly wait!

Best Regards,

David

does any body know how or if available to get factory heated seats installed. Has any one done this? I added the similar factory power moonroof & very happy about the install. I want to finish the car with ALL available options to make my '04 silver RULE the road .

You probably should have started a new thread for this question. The original item is more than a year old. I have the heated seat option which includes heated exterior mirrors. The option is sticker listed at $295.00. But, I don't think that they can retrofit the existing seats. My guess is that you will have to replace the unheated version seats with the heated versions with the coils, etc. and that could easily double ($590) or triple ($885) the price plus labor ($372+) plus tax ($57). So, you are probably looking at around $1,314 give or take not including the mirrors. That's my guess, if you can get the seats.
