Hey guys..

I'm thinking about investing in the Xcal2 but I don't know if it will be worth it or not. To be honest, I'm never going to supercharge this car, or do any mods that will void the warranty.

1. Will it make a noticable difference on a stock car?

2. Does it include the "Lidio" tune?

3. Will it increase or decrease gas mileage?

4. I know the car can be returned to stock program, but is there a way for the dealer to trace a PCM that has been flashed?

If you have any other useful information (besides doing a search), let me hear it!

Thanks,
Daniel

i have had my lidio tune for about two months and it was money well spent!!! tranny shifts spot on!! that was the main reason i purchased it. the tuner itself is generic and it has to be loaded
with the custom program by a shop or a person who has done all the leg work to figure out whats best. in this case your two main choices are dennis or lidio. both have sct tuners with their tune in them. you will notice a big difference in tranny. i felt a little more juice up top, not eye opening, but something nontheless.
mileage is about the same. takes about 6 mins to install and is very user friendly. as far as a dealer knowing if the car was flashed and reflashed to stock, i dont know..someone else on here could probably answer that one for you. i would guess no..
do a little reading at the vendor sites. my .02 .... get one!!!!!!!!
it was highly recommended to me by everyone who had one..
you will be grinning.......keith

1. Will it make a noticable difference on a stock car?

Yes

2. Does it include the "Lidio" tune?

Only if you buy it from him.

3. Will it increase or decrease gas mileage?

Yes, since the tranny shifts better, but once you see ythe difference you'll drive your MM like most of s do, using the gas pedla as an on - off switch :D

4. I know the car can be returned to stock program, but is there a way for the dealer to trace a PCM that has been flashed?

Not unless they hook it up to their computer. If your that paranoid flash it back to the stock program before you take it to the dealer.

If you have any other useful information (besides doing a search), let me hear it!

Get one you won't be sorry. BTW I have an original XCal for sale, has a Dennis Reinhart tune :D and no that did not influence my answers......

my mileage went way up when i got my tune from Torrie at FPN..
There is a noticeable difference in the car in stock form and tuned form. like they said, the tranny shifts are much better and the SOTP feel is noticable too. I say get it. the nice thing is that if you do gears, swap MAF's, dont like the shift points/firmness, its all things YOU can change in the xcal instead of having to get new files..

Also, what I meant by question 4 was... If i flash it back to stock program, can the dealer trace the fact that it has been changed?

Of course I can always bring it to another shop... but from what I hear, LM service is the best way to go.
