I've driven my brother's Taurus 3.0 DOHC SHO and I've NEVER driven another car that loved to rev like that Yamaha screamer!
It sucked up bonzai redline blasts like Ted Kennedy sucks up booze!
That is a unique and really SWEET engine swap.

My shop teacher put one in a Fiero, he still has it. I tried to talk him out of it.

Taurus SHO's have rev limiters at 8000rpm's because the stock accessories cant go any higher.
The engine can actually endure close to 10k rpm's safely.

You live in AZ? Did that shop teacher also turn the Fiero into a GT-40 replica?

I'm sorry, but there may be ONE 10k SHO motor out there...

The rev limiter on a stock SHO is 7,300 RPM. The engine internals **MAY** handle 10k RPM, but power will drop off LONG before then. The valve springs will also experience valve float. My limiter is set to 8,000 RPM, but it makes power all the way up there and does not drop off. I have seen a SHO go just over 9k RPM, however, it has been destroked.

Is that a body kit car? I saw a autobody guy do a 49 kit on a 90s T-Bird. Came out really nice.
