proguard question....
i cant get the two forward nuts off as the bolts[?] they are attached to are spinning and i cant get anything in there to hold them. i am not even sure they have anything to grab as i bent an old wrench you get to put cheap wooden furniture together and i could nt feel anything. my first thought was to pry down and try to snap bolt as it is small , but i dont want to bend or screw up tabs on trunk. maybe a cutoff wheel , but i dont have a big compressor or a wheel and sparks in this area dont do big numbers for me!! any ideas? any help would be appreciated...........keith

The bolt acts like a carriage bolt. Make sure it is seated.

i tried prying down between black housing for evap hoses and trunk hoping something would catch....nada......... i gave it about 30 minutes of this and that and prying and ratcheting and nothing...
i m pretty sure it is not a carriage bolt.....something would have caught...........thanks though

Helps support the rear bumper and streamlines the air flow under the rear end.
Actually it's under the trunk compartment.
The are sold by Dennis Reinhart a supporting vendor of this site.

i used a dremmel tool on mine, worked well, and didnt make too many sparks. mine were both rusted and i wouldve never gotten them off by hand.

Why don't you remove the bolts at the front of the cannister and slide the whole thing out of the slots.

keith, apparently you're NOT the only one it happened to...
and yes, it happened to me, too...I just removed the whole evap. unit and cut the old bolts off...and put a little anti-seize on the new ones.
