Thats quite a number. I personally cant stand the heat and I am only dealing with 90's at the most. More Humidity but still hot is hot. Cant wait for a nice cool October day; the marauder seems to enjoy those days too. It becomes a bit more lively. Anyway, stay cool!

Oh yes, it can.
Now, when the readout in the car hits 117 here in IA *with* humidity added, then I just don't go outside.

Yesterday and today were really hot but overall I would not trade it for any other state's weather.

We may not be the hottest or the coldest, but we're close to both here in the midwest. My temp reading has gone from -11 to 117 I think over the course of a year. And we get all the humidity and all the wind chill as a nice bonus.
And no problems at all with the heat/cooling system.

Does an outside temp of 119* w/ little humidity feel hot?
I am in Ohio.....it is almost ALWAYS humid here. 90*+hella humidity feels horrid.
Just wondering what AZ feels like?????

I've seen mine up to 107 upon start up after she's been sitting outside in the heat and sun. However, once I start moving to get the air flowing it drops down to near the "actual" temps pretty quickly.
On a trip home from work about 2 weeks ago, I never got it to drop below 101 degrees. Outside real temp was 94; but I guess the heavy traffic, exhaust heat, and hot asphalt contributed the "extra" heat.

Yeah is warm out, I noticed the SW states have incredibly high daytime temperatures 100 degrees can be common, but that same 100 degree day can have a 68 degree night.
In Florida it only goes to mid 90's in the daytime, the only problem is, it can be 82 degrees at one o clock in the morning, with 85% humidity....that can get on your nerves a bit.:D

I love the heat, as long as I am close to my pool. Can't wai to get out of work today. I love the sun. Here in Buffalo, NY, we don't get so much nice weather. Gotta' soak it up when it's here....

And I wanted to do some work on the Marauder.
We have an "excessive heat watch" in effect according to the Weather Channel.

Steve, opening the door to your house in Arizona is sort of like opening the door to a hot oven you feel the initial bast of heat, but you soon adapt to it. I live in Tucson for three years and loved it, the desert holds no heat at night because of the low humidity. But, I did notice a difference when I was out there in April 2005, where was more smog and humidity in the air and Tucson has definitly grown. Damn snowbirds....:censor:

Something bad is going on around Phoenix area, highs around 115, lows about 91...be careful out there.
Whatever it is, is not happening in Flagstaff to the North or Tucson to the South....even too much dry heat can be bad for you.

It has a lot to do with the increased smog in the area. One day it will be like LA.

Heat is heat, obviously, but there's such a big difference when you're talking about humidity. I've always known the heat to be humid here on the East Coast because that's where i've lived my whole life.
But I'd like to make a trip out to the west coast, just to feel that difference. I've always said I'd rather be too hot than too cold!

Both extremes are bad, if you are hot getting wet is good, if you are cold getting wet kills you.

True, but the more clothes you put on, the hotter you get and then you have to take clothes off and then you get cold and.... it's a vicious cycle.

96 at poolside in southern NJ, water temp. 90 even. Glad I don't have to put that dark uniform on today and go to work. Hey, wait a minute.... I don't have to go to work tomorrow either, or the next day....or the next....
And to think they're gonna send me a check every month to do this!!!

My Durango also said 119 degrees today; I would guess it's about 7-10% humidity. When it gets to be over 110deg that's a bit much. What's really weird is Flagstaff is 1.5 hours north and it will be 48 degrees there tonight.
Even though it is hot we walk about 2 miles every evening and play tennis once a week assuming it's below 110. If it was this hot back east allot of people would be dying. July-August-and about 2 weeks of Sept are hot; the other 9+ months are just amazing. Everyday is sunshine...I mean everyday! I will be here 1 year this August and it rained for a total of 4 times so far (a fraction of an inch). If you want to plan a barbeque or an outside party tomorrow or in 2 weeks it will be nice outside. The thing I hated most about NJ was the rain first and then the cold.

According to the temp gauge in my car it hit 111 here in Salt Lake City a few days ago. To answer the questions about the difference between humid heat and dry heat out here in the desert, DRY HEAT SUCKS. You feel like you are literally being baked alive. I spend a lot of time in New England and I would much rather have it be in the high 90's with high humidity than approaching 110 out here with virtually no humidity.

It must just be me, but the hot humid air feels more bearable than searing dry heat. Maybe I am just weird?

So you would rather live in a 110* sauna then 110* oven. Are you "weird", no just part lizard. Give me the desert any day over this humid *****.
