Hello,

Can one bring a 2003 Mercury Marauder to a Ford dealer for warranty work if there also exists in the same community (in fact it is only ~ 100 yards from the Ford dealer) a Lincoln-Mercury dealer? The reason I ask is that I have used the Ford dealer several times over the years and have been extremely happy with their service department. As I have not ever owned a new Lincoln or Mercury, I have not in the past had an occasion to visit the nearby Lincoln-Mercury dealer's service department. So, the essence of my question is that even thought I hope to soon have a 2003 Mercury Marauder, may I still have any necessary warranty work ever required performed by the already "known" entity (the Ford dealer)? The dealership from where I will obtain my car is several hours away and so service work there is not a realistic option.

Thank you!

Seems to me that it's the Ford Dealer SM you should be asking, all we could offer would be a lucky guess.

Zane: I use the Ford dealer because they are a SVT dealer. Mercury dealer is closer to me. Dealers can work it for. Just ask.

Absolutely. Ford service centers are authorized to do Mercury warranty work.

I agree, spoke to a Ford SM and he stated that they can do the necessary warranty work. John
