If you measure the distance from the ground to the top of the wheel opening lip on the rear wheels do you get the same measurement on both the drivers & passenger side?

I don't have an MM, but my Crown Vic isn't, and I'd like to figure out why.

I checked mine the other day since my auto leveling gismo wasn't working and it was within 1/16" side to side but it sure looked lower on my side.....pretty deceiving!!

BTW, the sender for my auto leveling was bad.....it was a "Low Rider" for about a week!!:argue:

No. None of the measurements are equal side to side, or, back to front. This is a new spin on an old topic, but that's okay too. Let's have it out again.

I have as much as a 1/4" difference in my front to rear, and side to side measurements, depending on what I am measuring. Nonetheless, nothing appears out of whack. Overall, the car sits level just fine, and I have to ask...

What automobile anywhere, is perfectly level? Considering all the automobiles I have owned and driven in the last 40 years of driving experience, I have never felt compelled to measure this spec, until it came up here, and then only to discuss the changes Kenny Brown made in the suspension for the Marauder S builds.

It's just not that important of a difference to me, some "difference" in tolerance seems to be the norm.

Just my .02C, carry on gents.

I do have a 40# tool box on the left side which is probably why it is a bit low on that side??

I can't really tell by looking at it though!!

Anybody else care to measure their MM?

I'm curious how much of a difference others have when measuring the drivers side rear compared to the passenger side rear.

I measured mine and it came to 28 1/2" on the left and 29 1/16" on the right.

Roy,

You've worn the springies out on your side......Now you got you a "Circle Track" car!!

Mine actually looks lower on the left but as I said it is deceiving!!

My driveway is slighly off kilter from side to side. Because of this slight inbalance, and the auto-leveling feature on the MM, one of my sides will sit lower. I take it to a nice flat area and she's level again.

Driver side rear = 27"
Driver side front = 27 1/4"

Passenger side rear = 27 1/4"
Passenger side front = 27"

Go figure...

Is that why NASCAR tracks always run counter-clockwise?

My MM is probably close to level. My driveway and garage probably are not.

Steve

Driver's rear: 27 13/16 in.
Driver's passenger rear: 27 15/16 in.

Both of these measurements were at the max opening from the ground up on level ground.
