My friend and long time customer Billy has seen it all, two Hurricanes, his family and life has been turned upside down over the last year, first fleeing for his life from Katrina then dodging Rita, this would have worn most men down not Billy, He bought my Vortech water to air kit several years back the car now has over 60 K on the clock. While in storage the battery went toast and after installing a new battery the EEC would not respond to a update as he requested. So Billy came to see me Monday, trailering the car here. I was able to fix the EEC issue which was probably due to a bad tuner. What I was able to do was flash the car back with a stock program then it accepted the new Xcall 2 program.
While here we serviced the entire car, Billy has over 150 launches at the track with his car both N/A and SC, I believe his best time so far is a 12.2 and his 60" time is awesome, his car is a 03 A, we serviced the transmission and LOF new fuel filter and when we opened the differential up we found a lot of metal, Steve tore the rear end down as soon as we got the axial's out both were bad, typical for the 03 A as well as 04/05/06 Crown Vic PI cars Steve also found highly worn spider gears on the rear carrier, so we had a new carrier in stock had to order the axial's, and finished the car at 3:30 PM today.
We then strapped the car down on the dyno and with in three pulls and minor AF corrections the car made 443.8 RWHP and 380.7 RWT. With a perfect 11.0 AF. The air temp here in Jacksonville today was 98 Degrees at about 85% humidity, not bad for a car with 65 K on the clock. So I told Billy to take the car for a test drive, he back 15 min later and said Dennis there is something wrong with the car, I said Dam Billy what's wrong he said when the car hits second gear it goes sideways, I said
