Hello,
I was wondering if any of you have paint blister's on the roof's of 2003-04 Marauders? I have eight small blisters and one surface rust spot, the side of a dime, on my Marauder. This car only has 30000 miles and is garaged most of the time. My dealer has agreed to paint the entire roof of my car next week for no charge. The thought of painting a portion my original paint car (it's only original once) bother's me big time. Should I try to touch up the paint, or should I let the dealer repaint the roof? Thank you in advance for your opinion's.

I've just notices a couple of small blisters on my roof as well. I've only got 23K miles on it but I'll make a claim before the warranty is up. I figured I would be the only one with this problem.

No blisters on mine. I'd have the dealer repaint the roof. Touching it up will look bad.

I also have blisters on the hood and roof a couple are showing rust.2003 with 69k on the clock. I am still under the ford 75k 5 year plan so I will ask them next time it goes in. They have been good on the rest of the car, axle, rear end, altenator and battery were just done last month for the $50.00 deductable.

Is that an etended warranty that you purchased?

I had my hood repainted for similar reasons. My local dealer did a great job on the repaint. It looks better than the original, and that's the problem. I can now tell the difference between the hood and the rest of the car. I guess I'll get a fender to match now. A giant scratch appeared on my l/f fender, and nobody knows how it got there.

I have 55k miles.
I have a few of those small blisters. Do you really think that the dealer will repair?

Hello,
I'm not certain that they would repaint your entire roof of your Marauder, but it can't hurt to ask your dealer. Express your concern's to the Service Manager of the dealer. I took some picture's of the roof of my Marauder this past weekend and to my surprise found over 20 paint blister's. In my opinion, if you have two blister's on your roof now, more will follow.
