Anyone buy from Kevin Tully, Norfolk VA??

I need to find out if anyone here has had dealings or knows a Kevin Tully of around the Tidewater, VA area.:help:

He sells, or has been selling Marauder exhaust tips on Ebay, genuine Meg's non-resonator Marauder tips. I know some vendors here have them, but this was just an extraordinary price........well............. .....

I paid him on Ebay via PayPal close to a month ago and got a shipping notice, but then.....UPS can't find it....UPS lost my package and others............Meg's factory backordered..............no joy, no tips, just the lonely Headers and Magnaflows sitting in the garage.:mad:

This guy may very well be legit and just having problems, life happens, I don't know, but I am beginning to feel "hinky" about this purchase.

So, has anyone dealt with him or know him or is he a member of the board? I am not setting out to flame the guy, just find out if other members have any knowledge or input so I can make a decision.

Our friend and fellow member here, as well as an authorized vendor for the Megs Resonator delete tips, Wes Chain, explained just recently that Megs has discontinued production, except for a high volume group buy.

I never heard of Kevin Tully, or the e-bay offer (which is a surprize too, the way we tend to monitor e-bay for anything Marauder), and your problem does sound a bit fishy.

Have you confirmed your tracking number with UPS, or, are you just taking someone's word for it?

if he ups ed it , he should still have a tracking number, even though the stuff is lost. you can still run the number and see the last place it was recorded as being. if it shows non existant then he gave you a bad number or it was never picked up. either way it was him ,not ups. did you check feedback on this person b4 you bought on e bay? that can tell you a lot..........good luck:)

I actually purchased my pipes from him and they showed up in about 3 or 4 days after he shipped them. I bought them at a good price too, $59.99 + shipping (he listed 3 sets at once).

Also, at work we've had a few problems with UPS losing or damaging items.

I know Kevin over the internet through the Crown Vic forums, have not spoke to him in a year or two. From what I remember he was a pretty cool guy.

Megs is not back ordered. Megs is OUT of 3.5" delte tips, PERIOD. The Motorsport tips that he sells on ebay haven't been touched by Megs for FOUR YEARS. The tips he's marketing were produced in 2002 for Ford as an initial run for the Marauder. When the MM did not meet NVH driveablilty standards, they returned to Megs, asked them to put a 'resonator' (read: Pipe) inside the tip. MEgs increased the size of the inlet to 2.5, installed the resonator, making the tip still 2.25" in WITH the tip. Ford then was stuck with this supply of 2.25" tips that were not resonated, so they ended up in the Motorsport catalog.

Thats what ford thinks would be 'acceptable standards' for the typical buyer of that model. Unfortunately, they went to the retirement home to interview that panel of folks about the MMs exhaust note. Its too bad all of their hearing aids were working that day. Otherwise they would say "I can't hear the exhaust!"

The salesguy had us stand near the rear of the car while he turned the key. Even completly stock, it was a beautifull sound. Pretty much decided I wanted it even before we test drove. ;)

Haven't ever dealt with him ( other than thru PM and thead posts over the years ), however, he gives all indications of being a straight-up person.
