Hey everyone,

I know a lot of you are looking for 18x10's to use for your drag radials, and well these aren't perfect but they might work.

In the image below you'll see our OEM 18x8 +50mm rims in red.
*This is a cut away image.*
The green (18x9 +34mm) is our control, I put the "green rims" on my car for a test. They stuck out about a half inch out of the front fender, and were flush with the lip of the back fender (I used a straight edge).
As you can see in the illustration below the 18x10 +45 shown in blue overlap the green rims in the same place on the outside face of the wheel, meaning that the blue rim should also be flush with the rear fender lip.

I know this is not a perfect solution seeing that the sidewalls of the tires would bulge out of the rear fender wells, but if you are only using them for drag radials on the weekend it might work for you.

I've been saying as much for a long time now. There isn't going to be a perfect fit for the correct 10" wide wheel without ordering a custom wheel somewhere. However, for the weekend at the drag strip, this solution should solve your fitment problem and allow you to place the full tread of your drag radial of choice on the pavement.

The goal is traction, get all you have paid for. When going for show, restore your street wheel/tire of choice.

Thanks again, ^ five.

Thanks Chris - good information and nice chart. Any problem with the tire hitting the rear shock with the 18x10 wheel?
