Ok seeing as I am new to the area I don't know where to turn. I need to have my hood, front bumper, header panel and possibly the roof repainted. While I'm at it I am thinking about having the car recleared and add either blue pearl or chameleon to it. Here's the deal. I don't have alot of money to spend but I can do alot of the prep work myself (I was in the auto body trade years ago) or I can do some plumbing work or just about anything construction related as partial payment. You know Barder. Anyway do any of you have a friend that does paint or know of a reasonable shop?

I've heard Jackies & A1 here in Port Charlotte, are supposed to do decent work. Had I not procrastinated ... I would have been able to share my own experience with one of them.

The front fender of my truck had some waves/creases in it when I bought it back in November. I got about 4 estimates to have it fixed ..... but I never got around to having it done.

Now that we are back in hurricane season, ya' never know when we might have all kinds of crap flying around. I see no point in spending @ $500 out of my pocket, to fix something that may only end up getting ****ed up between now & the end of November(the truck stays outside).

I'll wait out the season & make it the Xmas present to myself, assuming we don't get hammered by another hurricane & a tree ends up on the damn thing ... making the damaged fender a moot point .

Least I'd be able to enjoy the fender "hurricane flaw free" till June of 07 - lol.

I actually have a nagging feeling that the damage to the fender is a result of hurricane damage(truck came from West Palm Beach). Really weird angle on the waves/creases. It does not look like it was made from another vehicle hitting it, or the previous owner hitting a stationary object. It looks suspiciously like the result of some flying debris.
