:confused: ¿ What is a Hydroformed Chasis and which is the difference from older Panther cars ? ¿ Pros & cons ?

Hydroforming a frame is done by using high pressure liquid and presses to bend metal and create a shape that is continuous allowing to use less welded joints, it is stronger and thinner so it weighs less, it also absorbs more energy during a collision.

It's not, the CVPI has the same hydroformed steel frame as regular Crown Victorias and Grand Marquis. I'm guessing when they say heavy duty reinforced frame, it might have welded on reinforcements like the Ford trucks they were talking about.

In other words it's a Hydroformed reinforced chasis so still have a little difference to the civillian counterparts.
