Does anyone know of a good fitting, good heat reflecting, decent looking windshield shade that works well in the Marauder? I would love a nice custom one with that shinny silver heat reflective stuff on the outside and maybe the words Marauder imprinted, but I know that is probably asking too much. But any other input on what you are using AND where you got it would be appreciated.
Parking here at work is pretty limited and I hate pulling in to parking spots forward, I always have to back in. Well, that leave my car facing west which means it gets beat through the windshield by the afternoon/early evening sun. All the other windows are tinted, just want to get something to block from the windshield - which will also help with potential UV damage on dash, steering wheel, etc.
All input appreciated. And, no, I have no desire to start parking facing the other direction... ;)

You'll need a large size shade. I also have a Dashmat to protect the crash pad on the dash.

Go to WalMart. they have shades in 3 or 4 different sizes. Buy decal letters there also and stick them on and Voila. A Marauder sun shade. Talk to BC4E and Maury and market them here. Then you can stop parking at work facing into the sun as you will be a retired millionaire. Dennis

I bought mine in Florida at the Walmart 9 bucks, large, diamond plate look.

I ordered one from AutoGeek.com that is supposedly custom made to exactly fit our windshields. It cost a bit extra at $50. As soon as I get it, I'll let you know how I feel about it.

I just got the custom window shade today. It is a nice cloth backed shade with a silver reflective side. The thing fits just about perfectly. The sides come within 1/2" of the black border of the windshield. The top and bottom are maybe 1/8" too big, but you can push the shade down far enough to have the top slide under the headliner just enough for it to hold there without having to put the visors down.
Basically, it is exactly as they say. A custom fit for the MM windshield.
As far as keeping the light/heat out, I don't know yet. With the custom fit, it will keep the majority of light from coming in the windshield. As far as the heat... time will tell.

Well, picked one up yesterday from Wal-Mart. There were 2 different brands and both had 2 different sizes. The one brand had "Standard" and "Large" and the other had "Standard" and "Jumbo". The brand that had the "Jumbo" sizing looked of better quality and was more expensive, and it said on their sizing chart that the Jumbo would fit the CV/GM. So I got that one.
Well, difintely more than I need in there. About the right size for the height of the windshield, but about 2 folding panels too wide. Might go back and get the "Large" size one that was less than $3 and try that one out and see which fits better.
The one I got definitely makes it dark in the car with the tinted windows and works pretty well the last couple of days with 90+ degree weather, but a little cumbersome trying to put it up. Wish someone made one that was a "custom" fit for our cars....

Yes Walmart seems the way to go but one word of advice, DO NOT get any thing with the silver backing on it cause you WILL BURN your hands when you go to take it down...
